TORONTO -- Sun Life Financial Inc. said Monday it is retiring the Clarica brand as part of a revised marketing strategy.
! v; ]1 k- z+ e* ?& J) ^3 t9 PClarica was introduced in 1999 by Mutual life of Canada, and was acquired by Sun Life three years later.& l6 d6 d. ^& l
There are almost two million Clarica policy- and accountholders in Canada, said Sun Life. Clarica also has a sales force of about 3,500.

* Z. ^8 }0 m! ^' [. ^The company said the changes will be completed by the first quarter of 2008. Sun Life will incur a $40-million to $50-million charge in the first quarter of 2007.+ T7 p9 V- f6 R7 Q! |
