Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
! C2 V$ j- e; i1 m: n
· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

- J1 ~5 X" u- b& x# _2 I; d· Operate manual and automatic shifts

! ]) a. z* i3 D4 Q0 f% V· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements

8 g% ]  o7 F9 Z0 N' K8 N! @· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license

8 p6 G. v% v& S3 P8 h· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

" D4 X% a8 y! _8 z· Load securement certification

2 |2 v- }/ ~, W7 N: t% ?; I2 `· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

2 \2 }, d& {% o5 M6 M· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

1 k" U: |% j$ y. J  S  s$ k· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
