CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

! w# S) ~3 Q; M% e$ y9 O· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
9 e1 X# ]  H5 ]$ }: |  k
" N3 ^, u/ d1 E" B. X5 u: e· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely
# R# M) @! L+ d& X& G5 H
· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
+ W2 g! Q! `. Y/ h3 r5 }% _Qualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience
5 q5 Z+ m% ^0 d, {0 L6 q! y/ c
2 V% C+ T7 T; d. ?· Valid Class 1 license
0 Y5 X3 g, w9 J
· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification
; e) K) f4 e. M$ F( J6 D  [
& \3 b4 f* Q) P; d) i· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

& Z( G2 C* |: N" u; ~· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
