Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

& `3 W* ^  {7 `5 s· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
2 \$ ?2 K! H& K2 U& v! O
· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

. B1 H8 E4 X; o3 m: E# D5 ]+ P( D+ r· Operate manual and automatic shifts
  g. Y9 a; Y2 d$ H; k+ C1 E
  G* q" x* x2 j* k· Secure loads safely
& ?7 i" s& t/ n
· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner

· Minimum 3 years experience

5 I+ V$ r- y4 i) E+ H/ J3 e" ?· Valid Class 1 license

& l8 |3 x* o2 d# }  Z' p( I* H2 y· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification
2 R* E/ H! H, `0 b2 _* D# `
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

: H1 m0 P: o( m! _* H! R! S· Excellent organizational and time management skills

7 W, D, J, p' H9 Z# q6 h* b· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
