Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and6 g* @, ^ d S
weekend hours.
: {) E: [% H/ D+ b7 c- WYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
/ U& j2 ?/ ^5 ]0 @lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the5 b* v2 q; v3 X% V& R$ d% T' r
centre., o* i+ n3 Y2 `5 J1 I* w7 C8 T* ^
These responsibilities include:: r. j" V* p& M4 x: V$ R
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
* t/ E2 X% P; _. G1 T. Z-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.9 P4 @2 j+ T3 t3 T5 Q" W
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
% X$ O# K/ U$ a& I/ Rrenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
2 D, f a! G, x8 A" B* S4 gfacilities’ maintenance, etc.
; T+ _ S7 S$ @' Y, w9 V" V& f-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic # s" d# i, P' O: s$ s9 X! s9 m9 f
clients’ files etc.

Education:
4 K! m4 ?/ ]5 Q0 V H8 l-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
0 f* s* A+ {" F. ]education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination ! _" o" w" B! ^
of education, training and /or experience. ( Y5 j7 w# y) E3 G/ A! m7 m/ A) @
Knowledge/Technical competencies:5 b3 }5 Q; J$ n' J
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
+ |" @0 {3 m6 v" ^-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
% t5 k! L8 N% Y5 t5 ^2 Land Excel.
/ H* z3 N' g3 r9 d-Experience using and updating an information database. . f' z5 G2 p' c3 q

-Experience in using MS Access.
