Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and2 K6 \5 B9 ?: W2 M, e1 C) Z9 O
weekend hours.7 j! Q! x- v% @0 r/ ?
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer6 j* M' c9 J4 p- n. T
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
* U& d* X: x- N: fcentre., m) `* G3 k) C9 ?8 q4 B
These responsibilities include:" r4 j; V C. ^; ] S: t7 Q3 o
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
- @ y6 D, S& R+ I# K: Z8 g: k( }-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.9 G* [8 L8 L( `& K+ a
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
0 ^6 l: s" v% q: o6 _renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
. V3 v6 n- n6 Dfacilities’ maintenance, etc.
+ \; U8 _; e+ G% O( J7 G6 y-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic

Education:
1 L. s; C: L0 l* ~' p( \4 P-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, + L$ h+ X* |" [1 q' _5 N- S8 U3 Y. B- C
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
3 F: o g: H( `, T+ Mof education, training and /or experience. 0 {6 W- y: m) f6 }8 ?
Knowledge/Technical competencies:. z) m# r( S3 t9 d' ? }. d" `* E
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
) z" O, R8 w& M8 @7 @3 S-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word+ u- o% W' K3 j
and Excel.

-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.
