The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Monday – Friday 11 am-7 pm

Job Responsibilities:

: v% q/ b O& k6 j- S0 y& P: aMust be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials+ r0 l- y3 p$ {6 r5 s- K1 E9 {
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials! h! I8 H9 z" X5 X- Q
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material2 ? _# ]3 b( i1 u
Must be able to work safely at all times: i# b6 s; Z. M7 ` j( i, Q0 n
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently
, z. g" C- I0 Y) s/ S1 a" SPerforms routine housekeeping.
3 j7 P I3 i; u* aObserves and reports any safety issues# s, N* O [6 Q( {0 v! w' x
Other duties may be assigned

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset

% c5 w1 D% S% oKnowledge of non-ferrous processing

Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization3 Y4 s. |& b3 N- q( o
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
