Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
" x9 ~5 z( v, f3 _technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
: {6 e' q3 t: `for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
4 Y* Q( b) o  f1 Uinclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
compounds by chromatography.

2 k( W. O& x4 @4 p+ xQualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
Chemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
& p& w7 t  D0 V  F$ uanalytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
# \7 G$ }+ l% G6 N5 x4 G2 m8 P& _separations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.
) \* w0 X4 N( X2 K8 GThis position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
and chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
hope to work in these areas.
