recruiting for the position of Laboratory Technician Assistant - Job No.

Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

1 p: c9 B0 d7 D" U9 Q" fDuties include: working closely with graduate students and research
" ]4 J3 \, ~3 a, T! qtechnicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
% C" Y( E: \9 V: _for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
include carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
4 P9 }) H; Q; `; c1 icompounds by chromatography.

4 }4 Z' L# y) L- ]+ u! G- fQualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
Chemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
1 Y# d) a6 H8 ?( T& o9 l6 |3 D0 Xanalytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
separations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
0 |# R0 n, }8 C: Dof a team essential.

! \: ^! r: Z7 q. h6 t0 B. K/ Hand chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
