Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

0 j( {: c0 _3 wDuties include: working closely with graduate students and research
  S3 S0 ]. r% D% qtechnicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
1 F# [# S' g) f# S& {+ ?: V* m% {for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
8 \5 ^: q; t; ginclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
compounds by chromatography.

Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
: M- \: v; F5 a+ h- E( QChemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
+ y4 B9 y; o& iseparations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
0 D8 Z" t! o. Z7 W( J) J/ qof a team essential.
/ f1 e# {* O, x8 tThis position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
1 q+ w2 u) s$ j. h+ o; a* \and chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
hope to work in these areas.
