Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
( }. a* Q1 R9 ?2 z- fpay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
9 S! h3 F- i% b$ t0 w( N6 a- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
  I0 \, C9 g3 Z6 }8 sthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

( k! W3 z0 _6 s2 F' @Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
, L6 q9 O2 V2 }participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
, {1 g. P8 u& {' Vtheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
! }* q6 N( f- H# i) m* itheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
) L) O0 d! ~  ], p' Joutings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
) S0 l) t5 o$ [" c4 i9 z3 ^excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
/ V/ [" a3 w0 F% Ndemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
, H* J6 J4 z( _2 M7 ^* f1 Ia variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
3 ~; s: S% n" v7 C$ ]of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
! ~. E8 `2 M; E: Q% n' H3 R) ?7 O) uskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
