Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at% @7 W9 C2 j. A r+ ~" P
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus3 U# |5 G) J3 E% d4 L, E$ U, E$ y
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
" @9 p4 I. x2 v3 {5 Zetc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
. V7 F* y2 \1 P' |) n' vparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
' i: ]( o" t. ]2 o9 \8 G6 [their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
8 ]; _! F9 C" |their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,9 y. C K3 R2 y$ o
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking/ y h0 r2 _: Q
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city" F' i' d% ^$ k: h' q
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city* A& d& T& R6 b
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night8 d$ B) u$ Q! m' D2 p8 r
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or$ w: t$ \( `4 Q3 a( E; z% D- z
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents; p' h+ v- v* n
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint% v; w) d4 s4 z: ]9 l$ T& S
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc. - {) |8 [: W, B$ m0 d. f
4 O) w k; ^# T0 P2 \Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
/ c- X" s7 `) {: Y% o, C* C& oCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
4 ]: k P6 j: C7 z2 yfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
) d& c; N" g4 `) C# J5 kdemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake" {$ b: p T7 a% x
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
$ X( N) @: }9 _& k3 w# N3 dof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management/ t3 e) }' c4 m1 }, _3 j& x2 t
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
! F1 W! F/ ]$ {+ z) Y; FExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,) g7 F3 i- b/ R! h- A/ [* X. ^
