11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

9 A2 Z: \+ T5 m  E& c9 \/ A& Y' jJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
, [; L9 Z" Y8 e7 v- _) j- YBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.


0 n" L( R- ~. C2 S6 [5 JDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
/ L2 u$ x2 f+ ~" |& [% n3 Utotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
3 Q% g* Z/ N: ?2 f* r/ Tincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
6 B5 J; m# n8 ]3 E. ^and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

# T, p" @/ a) c* ]! P5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
; D) l* _: ]! M1 k6 ]action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
6 [5 l3 ]/ H1 s  V* |" z2 T; Bintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
0 C# D* e2 ]: ?& A% a( B6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
5 M- X. S8 t) ?1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
( [4 b) ]1 E/ z" r. Coperation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
$ k( h; r4 v: Z; a7 v: T0 {5 f' l% ]policy.

0 c3 Y) s( [+ Z7 E; a% b, e7 {+ g: O4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

0 X$ }! n, b8 s' b  O5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

' q# a6 j: o% ]% y+ U% _Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
