11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
6 d( z7 f$ v. a* j, J. {carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
/ l0 v$ |* v$ ecustomer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
$ U; e/ t6 N9 b$ a
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
$ }. H  f* B8 q- _, `. V3 T! jhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
6 Y+ E1 a1 P) \6 I' cand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
2 E6 [6 D8 C9 c8 J+ |intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
( @) f1 K  i  d& f$ `7 Q6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
' w' F6 g' n- R# ^- R) MAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

  p" U0 W5 W2 q$ B2 ]; B7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.


QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
* `, X4 R' Q- Z% g8 c
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
$ p7 `' ?: E/ v2 ?5 Y3 Hoperation.

! Y, Y. c5 ?5 h3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
4 J( z1 Q4 D! C" k# e' e2 c, vpolicy.

4 w- k. C9 G+ j, ]/ S4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.
# F  P; b! P+ B9 i$ z* }( C
5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

% }* n( m" V7 l2 [1 V. ~0 JWage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
* @( o: S$ C2 {/ h1 {9 hpurchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
