JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
4 T/ M$ {1 p" y, R/ ucarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.


: l- z6 r9 _* L! u% V8 S5 E/ D' BDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
: i* j9 W% v; h  A- Q" k
9 |( E- y# S4 ~- L: h. s1 ]2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
; p$ b# i! ?$ B7 J& L* \high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

2 t- y3 P5 b% r( c$ H4 Y/ |# g. d4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
! D/ e! @& v3 m( n, w9 Yincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
0 w+ i! S3 h$ e; Pand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

3 g9 q6 Z9 B0 U3 z6 l# p- Z5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
( g6 Q0 u- f1 lintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
& L5 b4 T+ I+ s% x2 n6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

/ I# d0 ~- ~2 f+ h/ v7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
/ C# v; v' R- O9 vManager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
& J  u8 J! p5 K4 g3 t
* n* F. m+ C" A1 r9 ]3 r2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.

$ R. f; `* \" P$ D% q3 L3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

# |- V+ j7 N! C) R. C: m1 ]' L4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
# S% A' |3 x+ k5 A, Zprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
