& ?( K. V; |1 s( hJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
cleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
bar and debit floats.

1 n" C! v) H- F  z) R, V1 Q2 M3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
# f1 S9 l6 f$ E6 Deach shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
! b5 _& k/ k5 Lseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
. ]# \4 y9 ]+ }: Zstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

7 |2 y: N& f+ t6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
$ L" V* @5 y" N  A) F/ v) u8 Pmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
2 a9 a9 S4 F9 K! q6 y5 uaccordance with Students' Union policies.

1 U5 W: S% i" K* |7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
1 w7 X" _' h1 S* W  f To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

' Z! x6 K6 A% j& _3 Q4 J- F9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
( x3 Y4 S* O& R% d6 TSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
- i! G6 j6 z! o2 {( u5 ioperation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
accordance with Students' Union policy.

- f8 S( ?9 g+ P' B% B4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
1 P1 _4 Z$ x0 Q8 N) iUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
attitude.

Wage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
