BARTENDER - Room At The Top (RATT) - includes some serving

, b  w8 Y9 Q" v( b22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday  
. n! ]& R9 z6 Q# Sthrough Friday

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  ( M, \& {5 J8 t" h# p
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
. T' ?( U# b. i6 \5 S% g. v7 H. Sprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
7 X6 q! H% V. w( v# Y* Gcleanliness and order in the bar.
0 Y' b" p5 I& z* t6 D& o
% y& e4 j2 w8 D8 k! zDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
, d& H2 S: G0 L2 Y1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  $ i" q! c1 }6 L) J" I9 ?7 K
beverage items.+ t( F" Z5 w' o) h" _+ @- I& b1 g
+ ?# B* p) H1 q' E  H0 A% H/ Z
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
* j. m4 b9 T4 M3 Vbar and debit floats., O2 b+ R. ~/ @- S5 T/ P

  `( K( t0 w8 T9 U8 `3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
' l# ~! M2 B' q6 g2 v! {each shift, and upon closing.
) S& N# f; q3 I( g  ~+ m2 F" v
, L3 p. F  C) y# g4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  9 K: u, s# u+ T7 z6 W8 _" K  a
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
- O; M) l. ]* b( B! y* Oseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

; x9 T' \3 w% B5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  " [  ?: m5 k0 c( B
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  3 h$ |& q  n$ u4 j; s7 a5 z
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

* F9 h$ f: T, K- k  P' E; W6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  8 d/ f8 P! V; ^, B! ~% `/ L' x2 W
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  % a9 A- d( g2 X
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  ' `; `6 M' c+ ?3 i6 F) r
accordance with Students' Union policies.. b- q# e' ]5 T3 j$ [

! ]3 @, s! V  Y' e! Q9 R, [) \& ^7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  . W& e" S2 N; o- F3 j' u
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.4 M2 `/ u6 a* {1 J* J$ ?
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  ; k" C( }1 D/ c! W9 O
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.
& V' k, `3 u- K% N' P9 Q/ i2 p( Y+ W, N/ I+ V4 K
9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
4 \4 @* d4 z+ X, q; p, w0 [+ e# g4 eSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent./ a! r4 _3 n% H& C3 w
; A" |) L+ M: r
2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
+ J' ~- O; M. J2 aoperation." p- P3 e1 i# S1 L- t6 s$ f, E

# y* r7 `# W" t& H3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
1 H0 y7 O2 C- `* taccordance with Students' Union policy.

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.5 b' j+ e) f2 Z

5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
& Y4 B# x- G- R3 S! K2 JUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic
