JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to and under the general supervision of the
/ \3 {0 I, t9 Y, E( C- I) ZOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the
1 ^' D! j2 t$ i& \# eprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,
& X5 J8 c& P* r7 @2 Q- i6 ocleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
" n9 O) l, W% h1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and # }2 w r- y; G+ d
beverage items.

$ Q7 @, X0 z; ]( j, p6 }/ S2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the
) x; c f% U2 U. r# Mbar and debit floats.2 i9 S4 p9 a, V# e
, v* h& R( z6 F3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of 9 n8 w7 [: ` @; T7 I+ X! s1 K6 V2 Y
each shift, and upon closing.5 p0 a* \( S& i0 P" ?& y* w

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular ! N5 k4 R+ u7 r2 q* H: e3 J2 \# d
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and 9 H6 P, A7 A9 U% C; E
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in # X3 W P- C' f0 o! o G
storage areas. Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol ( f5 H+ { k2 ]
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.; x3 o8 e6 z+ Y
) N: }9 w- u& W x. }" ~
6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close ! Y! y, N4 b; c; O, Q' q
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a + B5 V" y( O- t: X
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in , a, }: [9 \2 z- F5 {- Z
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a

QUALIFICATIONS:% E9 Q+ m1 S, y9 S+ T( M ?
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume
/ @+ p3 x0 h) b- l+ @operation.

2 r* J) S0 T! l, Z( `3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.
