2 {. [+ p* o1 u) ]) L4 ^9 w0 zJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
9 w' Q- G8 a7 M* P4 [Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  8 S, o( [4 J& z& O) N$ D
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  + ^4 Z5 A) V) k3 d9 ^+ u
cleanliness and order in the bar.  Z1 O2 g- B. |0 S% k- v- H

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
7 B7 ]) Z' ]3 ?. \* e1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  / y: O8 c; I5 A& U1 Q
beverage items.& b  o8 @2 [. H0 O; U
( }: H% l3 e3 R0 p* S
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  - S9 x! q- k: S. S$ y
bar and debit floats., a, [4 p  g$ Q; F7 w: D

: I: g, b# G5 {+ S0 y3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
% N3 N5 L2 v0 w, `4 y& N2 Feach shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  5 Z  Y1 S! O9 K$ ]; d* C9 g7 o
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  * U" _! m5 [: P, b5 I' O& D
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.8 r( C" J4 U' m3 Z" m7 j4 k  X( V

- ?) B3 i: ?( W# v" C, Q( C0 W& W) T5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  7 m, ?4 |$ k( C/ m& R3 ]1 B  C
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  6 D& X& H) n! T9 \3 v9 u2 h
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.. _. o. E2 \8 }$ [% m" U

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  ( A6 \: w3 G5 \# h, h
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
4 R6 D! M  c; H1 [/ f6 d0 u9 Ghigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
, R. d* S1 k$ c* P) ^; e1 |# Kaccordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
* k6 j) y: M( N- r) {  Shigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room., a& U6 Y6 m; g" \
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
& |) x( }8 }3 k8 @2 ~  iAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:1 W) O3 v8 z. Z5 S
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

& b7 X! Y. m3 a$ p% B. I5 Z# v2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
) u% K4 @8 q- Voperation.* `) R7 Y1 G7 z5 i2 F

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
! B: ^( ^, A7 s: M3 Naccordance with Students' Union policy.
0 ?9 X; K" H$ M! T9 r& y$ S% S4 X, n* }8 w9 R/ @
4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.
5 e  W3 S! i: N: V3 V
! y; I$ O, l) Q& Y5 j1 A' b5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
4 y$ A4 l. h* N4 n1 l: tUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  7 w9 f) ~1 |" {! ^" L7 n& h
attitude.
