ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action.

C5 zThe CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.

Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field.

1. Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.

3. Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills., Z% {6 X) a1 ?6 V8 t
4. Team player and also able to work independently. Able to deal proactively with change and achieve goals through coordination with other people.
