Position Abstract: The Executive Director provides day-to-day management
- ^; R- P: a0 Z' xand leadership of Alberta's YouthVOLUNTEER! (AYV!). The ED is a
x$ z @6 s1 S. w! q8 `non-voting member and champions youth volunteerism in Alberta. The ED4 f. a) S/ `. }4 _
works within the structures set by the organization's bylaws and
, a: \+ u. h' E- V4 Ppolicies to ensure ethical and professional management of organization's
& Z( I: j& F# j( \* T4 A" @affairs at all times.) ?4 r7 @* F1 a6 T1 g9 g

Primary Responsibilities: Helps Board of Directors in developing a
( I9 e# x$ V$ f+ i% a$ c2 ^, _4 evision & strategic plan; Establish strong relationships & collaborative Z: P) I2 u. a/ V
arrangements with community groups, sponsors, governments, schools,
' ?3 |' @9 Q" wmedia/other stakeholders to achieve the goals of AYV!; Prepare reports# e6 u0 A% |2 r( y. V% D
for the Board; Assist the Board in drafting policies/prepare procedures
* w9 M: Y6 M, w2 ~6 L2 Y2 cto implement the organizational policies." h, m% ^4 @6 y5 C1 P, M

PLUS: Ensure good record keeping; Ensure funders' grants are stewarded" m! v8 P" x$ d# N9 W1 N3 D! u& G4 h
as per their requirements; Plan, implement and evaluate programs and- m) x B& v: R, j" E& L
services; Recruit, interview, select & coach staff/volunteers that have

partners sponsors, employees, volunteers, and youth; Understanding of

work in a self-directed work environment; Experience planning and
