The University of Alberta Students´ Union has been contracted by the  
7 ]& i; g5 r  O4 KResponsible Hospitality Edmonton panel to implement a campaign  
  V+ O8 S+ J  otargeting the issue of violence on Whyte Avenue.  As a Brand  
6 D3 W) C& y7 `' ]' S4 YAmbassador, you will be part of a 5-person promotions team that will  
5 S# m/ G# I) b1 H% ?' A) gcommunicate our campaign messaging and distribute branded giveaways  
% ]! a0 C8 n8 Z% {: B% fto patrons in and around nightclubs on Whyte Avenue*.  For this part-
time, temporary position we are seeking enthusiastic, outgoing,  
friendly, and sociable individuals who are comfortable in an  
0 R1 O, L9 F- U9 W' \- X+ @( henergetic nightlife environment.

0 g0 T, D$ D/ Y/ H& j, O( A+ {DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1)             Distribute promotional materials for the "Be a Lover,  
not a Fighter" campaign in and around bars and nightclubs on Whyte  
Avenue.

5 @7 ~+ H/ p5 N% m: @: L. I2)             Approach patrons in and around bars and nightclubs on  
" p3 l" `: n7 u: {Whyte Avenue* to discuss the issue of violence.

3)             Communicate campaign messaging to patrons regarding  
violence on Whyte Avenue*.

4)             Assist in the implementation (including: distribution,  
" n2 ~! U  U" I2 Z6 ^setup, maintenance, and tear down) of street level advertising  
mediums for the campaign.

  Y$ h8 Y# k" x6 E1 }5)             Conduct short onsite interviews with patrons when  
required in regards to the campaign and/or the issue of nightlife

6)             To perform other job related duties as required by the  
Senior Manager of Communication & Marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1)             Must be at least 18 years of age.

3)    Must be comfortable in a nightclub environment.

ASSETS:

1)    Experience with onsite event-based marketing teams.

Remuneration:            $30.00 / hour
  P7 @3 g/ F1 VSuccessful candidates can select from shifts available at the  
' g& g8 F. o: f% Hfollowing time on each of the following days:
             9:00pm - 1:00am (4 hour shift)

7 j) s7 q7 T  X. u  Oone-hour training session (at the rate of $15/hour) scheduled at a  
- |5 d* e. ~5 d4 ctime (probably June 27th 2007) during the week before their first shift.
