Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and/ i7 x4 N1 D: g$ E/ o2 q
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft8 F4 F4 v4 Y, M
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.0 m* d, J4 u& B% F! o) @" [& I K
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
) S4 q. q7 w7 Lartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.: g! T$ g Z7 J% }( y2 \3 U9 G& O5 X0 Z# D
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for3 @3 [4 k7 l3 _
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the- G p2 @* K0 z# W' g' L
recyclables.1 ^& u F. r* A) \0 I
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
$ l3 u ?: M! }part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
, r) k, a9 q% C6 C0 DHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing) h- ]2 R, ?% d7 F6 m
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
/ K6 Q a# J; ]hours are part of this crew’s duties.
4 z( F/ b1 i* k4 f+ `8 @Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the$ i* q0 q* V! H; J1 q
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide+ r9 ~. i! I- i5 d( |7 @+ T' u% {
programs to visitors to the festival.% O9 q% ]: i7 i) u* [' o) T
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for% u% b( c6 E; [6 F, \6 O2 U
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.! P, W1 C! Y) o2 j' ] J
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed. e. h4 ?9 \# z- V
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the" t) R* k, A* M
festival.& c- P( S, L! u/ X$ B! a1 L: M
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is: t+ g1 `4 y3 E! q. A3 K6 {
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you/ \! L$ A6 f% X# c4 u0 U2 V0 f
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
( x* w- [ G) h. i/ ^ y* qStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training H8 h/ x# W/ y7 o8 T( A
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
- k0 w$ f7 B5 W# ]* c6 H8 C, r- _Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
3 u0 H. L& W/ q2 J7 hrequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as' U4 g4 t$ c% j4 l/ I6 M
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
+ i- o: Z! f4 i u; |staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
