" Y$ S3 i5 @8 LBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
6 D: C. R, T. u* O4 Nwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft9 }- y7 e) S4 r" h/ H
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.3 y/ N. o" {' f) I4 _: \
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the# c8 b% I4 c7 G0 x6 E [
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.6 Q0 K, S- ^, p. m6 ^; o0 A Z: N
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
7 a4 z8 e& B+ S. G) i; k0 svisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
* Y! D% G a. Orecyclables.: {( L, ~5 P# y% o
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
+ g% W, T- F7 o% z2 [9 l# ]4 G; ?part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.4 G. l; Q; H1 ^
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing' |' b( w4 k2 K" H7 ~
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
4 z' l9 H6 q2 w$ T( U$ G" d5 X: bhours are part of this crew’s duties.
8 D4 R# @+ N2 l; ?& DInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the* H& K+ Z8 j9 `% x7 }+ {- `
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
5 X& D9 B& i" `4 rprograms to visitors to the festival., j0 Z) P, j& T- @
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
. u% u4 U. K# weveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience./ c/ z0 o3 h7 G7 H8 X+ V
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed% j6 N" _; S0 Y) R! p* @# t: [
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
: A- E6 L* _) ?* B- O: Y( hfestival.
/ O+ r& S: B3 N# L8 G' MSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is& }" S* d. W% _. _% A
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
, `# e7 H' L, c3 E5 S3 t1 u- q3 i5 T$ bare physically fit and ready for any emergency.
2 a3 Y' [ w( N* ~, QStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training; @# ]* b. R p8 b" X
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.3 ^4 A* r( j/ E) K9 f; H% B: k5 N7 Q" ]
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
8 e2 N" L$ }! `" C# Yrequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as5 j- H6 K' n" N8 t! w
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival0 W; _2 n2 H* B. X4 ` {
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
