1 f. R o. r% S7 c, b9 TBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
0 m7 Y6 L+ O% M" jwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
- C/ b) Z4 u" S1 R! s! Y( Jprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.! H! [) G$ O, \) ^
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the5 |6 s& E% b# a' N }6 [' m
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
5 L* p& E L5 ?+ f6 F7 \4 d) jEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for% J; s) Y, ]4 \! v' w; M' s/ Q
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the4 [2 b1 |: y) C
recyclables.- h" w' k) Q+ ^
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
! C1 ~! z6 J' [. Gpart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.% G) }+ ^4 c5 A
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing% b! `* P* ^% ^. V! C2 V8 g% z- }
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
; V( z0 Z, |$ X Y' U- whours are part of this crew’s duties.! S( M2 U: Q: Q" D; [- w: ~
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
9 s$ c1 Z0 \8 B- C( \3 r' a. ofestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide5 G( `0 G% Y' T7 T4 N8 m
programs to visitors to the festival.% p8 B d3 c: e& s4 V
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for4 a) h7 @/ d5 M$ c; f9 k6 z8 x
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.& R0 R2 s% b8 Y
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed3 m0 U; P4 a! `7 `# e
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
* R* [$ w8 }* ^3 T2 gfestival.7 q8 p" N8 Z6 Y j
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
" e. q% |8 D: L' soperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you- u* }& H% U& {+ \& W
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
/ v' S2 B A/ C; `Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training. R- K3 H- B7 |7 z
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.( X. T1 [0 Z+ V& c
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be- g' ~- t) d: c2 U; M
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as( v" O5 m; P' U9 O5 D6 U! _
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
, L2 a+ H' N# f; x. a; Dstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
