This is a long term posting with the successful applicants being called to fill positions on an ‘as-required’ basis.8 C% B6 t3 T1 ?

0 h# m5 a% ~# Q5 _( T/ N% c• Transport passengers to and from destinations on prescribed scheduled routes.6 P1 Z) T% e& e) ?
• Collect proper fare, issue transfers.! e3 X: u- M" s
• Respond to customer queries concerning transit information.$ e1 [. j* @% M" i6 i) N
• Operate a Transit diesel bus and/or trolley coach, on a day, night or split shift under varying weather - r6 Z9 d# s' H6 _, N% ^* ~: h& F
and traffic conditions.

• Proven ability to deal directly with the public, with well-developed customer service skills; the ability

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (operate bus controls, re-set trolley poles, provide passengers with assistance i.e. strollers, wheelchairs etc.).
! B# R% I7 G& ?6 e• Applicant must possess a valid class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's license (non-probationary and non-graduated) and must have held a valid operator's license for (3) consecutive years.- ^: C* T$ x9 V. x& B. d3 v+ N
• Selected applicants must pass the Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's class 2 written test, at their own expense, prior to training.6 f( }+ H6 G- Z* _+ Y, j* b/ x
• Applicant must provide a current driver's abstract (obtained within 14 days of the video test date) ' a9 ?, l( }6 B2 u& Q' H- x* `7 y
showing no suspensions and no more than 3 demerits recorded over the previous 2 year period. 1 T5 \" k' N6 `7 [1 d
• Ability to pass a written English comprehension test, a public relations video-test, a driving skill ' c( ^+ p0 }2 X
video-test, a Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test, a pre-employment City medical examination and a Police Security clearance (at their own expense, prior to training).

Various hours of shift work (straight or split shift), any time of the day, any 5 days of the week
