An Alberta woman has been charged with stealing thousands of dollars from a small town in Saskatchewan.

2 ~: s: x# G" ?! }& T: _0 uAccording to the RCMP, the 26-year-old woman from Strathmore, Alta., faces 12 charges including fraud, theft and false pretences.

The RCMP began investigating following a complaint that money was missing from the town of Kyle.

Police said they won't release her name until she makes her first court appearance.

Kyle, a town of about 500 people, is close to the Alberta border, about 320 kilometres west of Regina.
