If you say 200 won't fix it in the beginning, I may still want to pay the extra. However of course, if you want to charge about the same price as other repair shops, it is not likely I will ask you to fix it. You said you can fix it and it will be good for years in the beginning. Either you don't know much about car or that is just a lie. It is more like a lie to me. He could not believe a car repair shop would do anything like that.
