Apply to Extend my mom's visitor stay

. q) m3 ~( q5 G  g; T- vMy mom's visitor status in Canada is expiring. We are planning to apply for her extension. I did read the application package but have two questions:

( V6 i3 e' }4 h' J1. The reasons for an extension. Can we use the reason: we want her help to take care of our new born baby? There are people say it is a bad reason. Is it true?

0 U1 S4 o9 R8 m8 j2. In the Document Checklist - Visitor. Proof of means of support, as specified. Since we are taking care of her, what are the required documents for "proof of means of support"?
