Apply to Extend my mom's visitor stay

3 c7 J2 L  P; Z) ^) w% SMy mom's visitor status in Canada is expiring. We are planning to apply for her extension. I did read the application package but have two questions:

2 }2 U. j$ ~  R0 |1. The reasons for an extension. Can we use the reason: we want her help to take care of our new born baby? There are people say it is a bad reason. Is it true?

2. In the Document Checklist - Visitor. Proof of means of support, as specified. Since we are taking care of her, what are the required documents for "proof of means of support"?
