Position Title: Volunteer Coordinator - A3 t. K4 D8 _
Hours of Work: Full time (35 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities" [# ]. S' S( J
- submit information for community news + Q2 o' J3 c% [- \/ c2 [! F
- provide volunteers to update membership database
- w) k' F# e% n" V- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers6 |! v) ]! I! U% f/ I/ Y
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties4 h- w& _3 \. }# O4 o" S
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
; v. O' H8 R. {6 c, z+ l( J- provide volunteers for various programs
1 X9 I. P+ O- q3 O4 d- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual# u$ u) G# i$ M( H
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
! i) L# Q/ S4 F+ [& R- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities) {7 g, s* b7 e
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
; V9 _# r6 k/ g- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports* n! g+ R0 Z# M& \! n' X1 l
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed& H' l. Z5 b7 @; Q g$ G6 ?
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed% s# s4 h/ T' Z$ |" K- C
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)8 t4 B! F$ z) A8 O
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers 7 X" A$ t5 s! K" N* S$ s
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre; K8 b! H$ m4 Y' h2 `' X
3 d& h5 p& \: t2 QQualifications
~' v( a; e" B: i: ?1 ~6 U, g- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
& s9 i; W. M) L( {" Z" n' g- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
8 y6 w. q; T3 H' k+ n- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
