Staff

• provide opportunities for staff development and growth

• set program priorities and directions

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

• communicate the value of the organization to the public

• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
- J7 r8 i) I& U$ X% S- j' R• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.' Y. m, E; p' _, V# k2 g4 O' ^
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

3 l- E4 N1 w+ j- University degree in a related field;
$ i: a& u5 l' |8 o- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;( I2 ~$ ]: b3 ~, v1 m: D5 m3 D
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
, x/ S* T; U$ K8 Y. m: F% O- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization - b7 A: L, W e( l8 G
, P8 Q/ L5 `# d
Salary
3 O# F2 T. w- n1 c- `/ [+ \- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits 7 T t" N8 P. Y5 y+ R4 B1 p1 u
