Senior Agency/Program Manager

•        reports directly to the Board of Directors6 x* V7 k8 V4 L
•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals/ a; N) t* X% O7 V3 D/ ^
•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board6 B# N. \( w" C0 h2 ^, C# N9 a- R
•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation. K6 |3 X( q9 Y; M

•        is accountable to meet community expectations and funders’ requirements 4 j; F0 R7 |2 N( L6 g* J2 [
•        develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures
% i" e/ P1 n- E/ v  {$ t/ ?•        development and management of the programs budget

. x  T5 m1 m/ j" D/ C- c•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff: Q8 `- B0 }& Z& F5 s; k/ w
•        provide leadership to staff and volunteers
3 B, B' ]2 v* G; J$ p2 F•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions
5 x( |9 h* `/ b3 `& U- `•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators
, ?; V6 Z5 J+ J•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth
1 M7 p) }# t# t0 p9 [4 `- K4 n•        meet with staff on regular basis
3 B; L( T2 C& s' n& V2 U+ n$ c•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

Programs/Services- q5 ^( g7 p8 }* p$ l
•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
$ r6 _7 n) f& A•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
/ l" M' e3 Q) h9 d: _8 w6 |) ~•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders
! \5 j8 C' h. _•        set program priorities and directions ) |, `/ p/ E/ }3 V' T2 E
•        identify community and user needs and trends
! u' z( K' `& g5 P- b•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends
3 u- e* Z; l+ G* P: C. ^+ ~•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research4 E) C/ K9 a+ ~$ E0 X
•        maintenance of appropriate reporting; G) v8 ^5 i& e, i# J$ X. v8 D3 j
•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required
- l$ _7 Z% z! J8 a- G0 I$ ]% z•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development- j% m* S4 l, ], h7 [4 o! y9 I. [+ p
•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

! i  A) {$ ~9 L# P0 ]•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
( F5 v2 f) B9 f' |" R# x•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders
" f) `" E# r' y- w- D0 m" ^( y•        communicate the value of the organization to the public
  W* U( I+ ?4 V2 B2 F•        identify community needs and trends& v7 I' a) |% V0 j* G
•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
/ D; M3 }. G! [•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
" {0 \3 @' }& P! i•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.
! g8 A; r0 n5 G, S8 [•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff
$ g5 V( |- O/ k; T& J
' x; o4 n( U4 {3 D$ nQualifications
& G: i- w) c6 {) t1 l-        University degree in a related field; " _* v; P0 F; `. o9 S5 }; e
-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
& B8 B# ]: e. Q0 S- j4 ^-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
' N$ S0 K. ~/ i0 W$ q-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization ) Y, ~/ o% N( P% h& ^# d

$ W0 H% v% _7 P7 K4 Z, }# [3 g; ESalary
4 f* j6 H- ^; K) Z# P( _. c-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits ! W: a: |0 J3 x" v
( x5 y" L! p" F6 l7 r1 e& R
