•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals0 e3 k: l9 o$ R( f
•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board& _) ^7 a. s* B3 h& m
•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation

•        develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures

Staff
, _  D* j3 Q$ ~5 N6 D•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff8 E$ |5 i  c2 B( y7 g
•        provide leadership to staff and volunteers
/ L/ e3 J, K& {& ^6 F•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions
! D" ~& s1 a! s: V/ a% r•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators& @2 O, R6 @# R! M( u' g/ H
•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth
. T' G1 A# u$ B  y! q•        meet with staff on regular basis
! U- P( F: Y  A•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff
' e& R8 }) ?: t/ l' @( ]' i6 |3 S) _6 |; l0 C
Programs/Services
7 n2 ?" A, b1 G, u+ J: {! g9 [•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
% s" S) q+ Z! l0 c! W6 Q•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
5 T5 J1 }* w  m3 U# y  K8 p& v•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders
3 K+ i2 J5 Y0 C8 o+ O! e* o, _6 k•        set program priorities and directions
2 Y0 n( f9 q6 C! G: G•        identify community and user needs and trends4 r: x) S3 I" J1 R
•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends& f, L, B0 n1 Q/ j/ `* u) O
•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research. r, o- V* N( z$ c/ m, ?
•        maintenance of appropriate reporting
  z$ J" f8 D6 n& f' W. Z# E8 z/ N•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required
  \3 a' z9 ~7 t+ X9 f5 X•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development0 ~1 v. [0 X5 R( U* _7 U" f) {
•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

) s# L2 d1 W7 g/ S; gExternal Relations2 m$ ]4 ~7 k) W, B6 F
•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities5 U. O4 m* P) I$ T
•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders
5 L% ?, x  H1 D; s/ T4 B•        communicate the value of the organization to the public
7 {. w9 n2 Z5 R% G•        identify community needs and trends) ?  B5 `9 h, T" T/ c' D. n
•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups* e9 V2 A7 l2 E2 e/ T6 V2 g' G
•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups( ?! H6 E$ Q( _) W( l9 a# ^
•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.* ~7 q3 ~& W! g
•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff
7 o. K) w3 R' Z" M9 Y6 ~
$ [/ n/ i. U5 D  ?$ C' nQualifications; g. k, ?3 e8 o% P+ q0 U  j. F' g. L
-        University degree in a related field; . h, l' `+ v3 {
-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;* O* S$ s+ ?! j' l8 R/ q
-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
- H0 W# _% i4 L% j& s-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 8 X5 G- ]: B: J! E/ i
1 a. i  z+ M+ y! w, ?7 G, Y' N4 G
Salary
8 d' F) [* j5 P- H7 g- t% q: [-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
2 V9 J1 s/ e1 h! @7 \
