Board

• assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation

• develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures

• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators, s/ g O: \2 a: r8 ^

• meet with staff on regular basis

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders0 t8 t( Q# m" U# _
• set program priorities and directions 4 }% z( c( |# v7 R8 ^! y- A
• identify community and user needs and trends3 x: T# l7 ~- W$ I' k9 J
• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

External Relations
8 ~7 v, V2 o5 o0 h. \• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
6 _" y9 S2 x x" c5 u• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
5 X/ w" V6 w3 m& G8 c% O' b* x• communicate the value of the organization to the public5 z0 e# a4 H! B4 o* I- T3 K+ h
• identify community needs and trends
7 j2 n, E+ ^) j: |3 D• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
+ B/ n W; T& `; H! Y0 ^7 d& W• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups. B: g) Y8 g: |2 i- b- H
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.! |$ C2 @) B; E* H# R. I
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

Qualifications
9 f' o# j7 F2 w1 P# ^% @+ R; j- University degree in a related field;
* f# z, _* m! M/ g( ?4 [' Z; U8 }4 l- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;1 W: B$ a/ c( H4 B0 r! R
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
2 s% n# ?1 b8 D/ F& C- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

Salary
# K) f: H2 d% Q- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits % }; M0 i1 v Y. a2 a0 t, p
