• provide leadership to staff and volunteers

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
$ r6 _7 n) f& A• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
/ l" M' e3 Q) h9 d: _8 w6 |) ~• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends
! u' z( K' `& g5 P- b• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

! i A) {$ ~9 L# P0 ]• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

" f) `" E# r' y- w- D0 m" ^( y• communicate the value of the organization to the public
W* U( I+ ?4 V2 B2 F• identify community needs and trends& v7 I' a) |% V0 j* G
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
/ D; M3 }. G! [• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
" {0 \3 @' }& P! i• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.
! g8 A; r0 n5 G, S8 [• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

' x; o4 n( U4 {3 D$ nQualifications
& G: i- w) c6 {) t1 l- University degree in a related field; " _* v; P0 F; `. o9 S5 }; e
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
& B8 B# ]: e. Q0 S- j4 ^- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
' N$ S0 K. ~/ i0 W$ q- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization ) Y, ~/ o% N( P% h& ^# d
$ W0 H% v% _7 P7 K4 Z, }# [3 g; ESalary
4 f* j6 H- ^; K) Z# P( _. c- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits ! W: a: |0 J3 x" v
