strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
/ Y$ w" Y5 W/ ?$ oobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
5 ~- _/ N9 Q* m) q* mrelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification6 P$ T* E! P1 x
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is p) H- F% B1 v7 f8 M) F9 ]; J
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
0 {% T1 E v- x5 }cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein- b) S8 ^* _% W8 E- O5 `
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
1 }/ r0 y4 b3 H8 B1 Tis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with* B+ n: b5 L; B, Y
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping7 R2 d) ^; u' g' ~2 V
accurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
( {5 O, W @. F" Tfunding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
1 ~8 P" p3 W" |1 O2 Asalary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on: x5 _4 i( S% \- t1 W5 N2 f5 V q/ ]
