strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness, J7 I: f/ L$ w- [$ p J; D( s

B! i% Q6 Z4 N; L% @/ X% gQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will {4 D$ w: H0 r3 A6 |9 H3 j
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
4 d3 _0 B) F" z" Irelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification, F5 Q {8 c, |5 X* z
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is* x% e* e# e( m
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA- J* N7 ^' A2 W- l4 u8 g, u
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein7 E- b3 b3 F4 e0 a' z7 q
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
. O- z6 S0 p& ois a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
% | u# k8 w2 A7 Zthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
% o; R- j4 _; l$ Q% Qaccurate and complete research records. # P9 i6 H" j3 q$ B7 U; i% e

This position is conditional to a successful application of external# {; t! V% O, x! N* z' F3 q
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
; D7 e/ s0 c6 w* }9 f2 N$ m3 R: x6 jsalary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
