ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
) _7 g) a1 U3 n! B+ z$ j1 m; EUniversity of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
) h2 W( x5 B- _8 Xstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
) e9 E; ^) \: n/ N$ pto apply for government funding with us.

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
0 _9 h7 u# q/ ~: M8 orelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
' w2 |. I( z' b  B9 W9 srequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
8 z: ]0 K. f2 G+ D! P/ zcloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
, z1 ~7 R# Z3 |7 F* ais a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
( ?" Z" z% i7 c9 a9 othe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
4 N+ M3 e$ q; ^4 j! D6 p7 \+ Y8 q; hfunding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
