This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for" A- }( l t4 ~$ N# E9 R0 ^& z
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.1 I0 n7 h4 v7 n4 c( m! n: E4 H8 c
- P: w+ \- N* O# u) Q- t6 O! NTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials( e) \5 t7 @( d
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different7 E: [# R* o5 ~0 [5 t: P4 @1 C
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.! h6 L \ j& E

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
