, i2 \. L9 i- B& LThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for/ { S/ X0 f" r; `
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.; k& N, I$ U! Y- a

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
7 \( J# D4 @$ J3 u. Bof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different9 X K% Y$ J8 V2 u; w5 C' y; F/ v
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.2 |# P) F0 D O7 ] p5 `9 P
0 m3 n H0 G& T- j4 M: x; oCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
