Description:
1 h0 K& E% M! r9 G( j4 tThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
8 {" C0 i9 G* s, {+ ?& C) z$ G+ Hbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

( @- t: n. d1 b) O+ Y0 m8 w$ vTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials; h# L" w5 U# h; ~! W
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different, Y. d3 f! b* C1 S7 `
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.6 {4 x% a: l. P2 c
