This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
+ o8 _" {- V4 N8 B8 T! f0 lbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.! N7 \! e$ R) C. e! x5 H$ V+ k
% K6 |- f) o% D9 X0 g4 \Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
8 h$ m! R/ G3 g7 f- z3 B1 Lof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different3 G9 p7 t( M5 ~% n8 E
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events. Q4 k' x6 d( n1 u

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
