7 d9 F$ L9 G7 W5 k4 E/ [This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
3 P+ S5 c, Y- J$ ebecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

6 U* K+ _. R" p$ JTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials# ~& d: b; ]6 k u: t
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different
L! H2 d' r1 D$ r) }6 ^5 K3 ~certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.
