This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for3 L/ n# o6 [! H+ G; V' x
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.* A. j9 k% {, s7 \6 e9 N
6 t' s$ p5 K4 R! oTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
' s- w( v# N {# C# J0 \+ L% ~of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different
7 M9 }; g4 G; P* {certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.
