9 V3 M5 w" ~1 P3 |/ Y( ZThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
1 E5 ~5 R/ S# v# l! _) Z+ x! v9 o2 ~becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.! Y% _6 c. g0 I J# @7 }9 a1 T
8 ~! `% r5 [9 A1 zTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials1 R! N* ~, e7 Z# W
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different
