This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
" e: |4 X2 n2 f" g4 H% t* dbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.& |# ~; e/ Y I) W$ X! ^

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
( ^' w, L# s3 K# J" Q" U# K5 ~of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different* z( N+ k5 n) `. v
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.* W; ? v& w! c4 r4 J

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
