EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association,就是我们加入的那个协会)在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。( f7 F- I. a- X m/ M

- {" Q+ Q& Y8 _4 rThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
2 y$ o3 @& H3 s( r% Y+ Hbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.' j& k9 j* n, h1 {2 w
' `& X0 i5 m% N" j3 N3 ^# STrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
. `2 j+ l- \ x1 _, T+ aof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different% m8 v( o+ T" o( V7 y" d
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.. j2 G% A( u% W Q) G( C
h0 R+ T3 d7 N% RCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
