Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.$ @/ S$ V. S6 d
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker/ W4 ]7 e1 h8 _! P! q8 c/ L- r
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:& e: m# q6 S7 f5 y- q
- post secondary diploma
4 n2 g. u% K. _5 z. K- customer service and office clerical experiences$ \5 ]# |5 {0 L7 a2 f4 v
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset7 ^0 U& R) Y( H

; d6 a9 t9 E0 Q, G( B7 \- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
, ~; Q) a Y- J0 a& T1 W5 r: b- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services" p8 Z% w7 m( K6 V! ^
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services( R7 p. o2 F# X- Z# r
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies* k1 n* w9 t2 u6 U6 C/ ~
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
; B/ z4 V5 T) K- update ASSIST website, K7 P) C/ L* u0 w" p9 y4 A2 g3 p/ ?1 f
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre7 [' F4 ~/ q$ `0 e& ]. c+ {& E
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services3 l( M, Z; [' ?( R+ }
- assist in writing proposal for ISP5 o( e* y% X9 Z+ @4 j
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
4 _# k, X& q, r7 Q# o- hold regular meetings with ISP team6 B8 F% r% M9 ]/ X' c3 U3 |4 d
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
& d5 |( z3 ]0 Q( w- update membership database9 K' P9 Q: D H' K
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications; X: ^0 z( z# v6 ~
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education 9 o& q( s9 C. D! ~# s2 u# J
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
' k& k# p( f; n- experience in community work and immigrant services( ~9 y' j6 \/ t' [
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
