Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

9 T% K$ U; I' S& U& Q& ?$ K; e- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
5 H1 [* R; r. c# u: w. F N6 a- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
, J. t' K/ B' K" p2 C$ K- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:
! `$ |1 W6 `- N5 H g- post secondary diploma ; B! q8 E; C1 P) U& y
- customer service and office clerical experiences
3 v7 W5 t3 E8 `# F) r5 K# ^- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

Job Description
+ N. c( `. f! Q- q6 y) L- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community4 a% O0 m" d/ z+ N7 I1 ]% N
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
) c- {, [' k3 C5 u7 A1 ]9 K* n- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
. z7 _' S7 m' w2 l- A- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
% O3 L8 y) }8 h! g- ~: @- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
5 S8 E ?! a# _* w: W3 k& t P% K- update ASSIST website
' L5 y, {$ c Y; ~- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
: e) m1 C, {. p$ n* w* {) @) a- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
5 L4 J1 c: X" F+ _! Q+ G- assist in writing proposal for ISP6 B" M7 a7 x- |" |7 t+ e8 a
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
( _& M1 O% c% ^$ m' V- \" a- hold regular meetings with ISP team1 d" J/ x1 \! o) ~# h/ Z+ l$ e
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time9 b: c6 A' J+ r5 G& v' J( u
- update membership database# n# V. h! s: u- E) |& H/ {9 b
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications' ~4 v4 m' s3 g
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education . A* E _. V* J
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
7 J1 R g! n! ~4 M8 Z7 z, d+ Y# }. f- experience in community work and immigrant services* w- ?0 n+ S8 v# r& J# y9 d6 \
