Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Job Description

- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:7 `9 q/ A8 x( L
- post secondary diploma

- U: Z: `" A. N8 h" B7 F/ R- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community. P( }9 H: W3 `
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
u$ ^* S( L" V- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
, \2 O; A( a A% d4 ?" e% g- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies2 j3 K; L* o* _6 q
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members+ l- @- j) m$ j. Y! u# C; ]3 _$ l3 |6 q
- update ASSIST website* @: u9 M7 ^! p3 x+ j {
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
2 h6 A% c, {, g$ Y c, C& _% A- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
* Q p7 _( o, O0 Q( P. B- P- assist in writing proposal for ISP

Qualifications1 w3 D! ]1 E+ x$ m C1 j# n
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
4 O7 d3 o; K6 G! y& S' _- good oral and written Chinese and English skills; i: T7 }/ M% |, x( S, H6 j; _9 T
- experience in community work and immigrant services8 Q) _) m4 D# p1 V0 ^1 D0 t/ E
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset' r7 L. [; N8 A* n% L- ~
