Job Description
" z' ~' j$ `$ w0 v# S1 |) t( W& v- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
( P- F% n0 Q4 j9 r# l1 C- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
' m5 @$ d' n5 P$ k- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team: {* ~7 f- w/ H
4 m' {# n/ `7 b8 e. z0 BQualifications:
" c7 E: w' Y1 a& t7 K6 G- post secondary diploma - s/ Z. g3 e, K5 B% M4 }# f
- customer service and office clerical experiences5 r# @. r6 b2 b: Z
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

Job Description
; v/ w# G4 a/ c2 e; z' g$ @ D) ^- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community; k$ H1 Q7 m' D* Q# s, w
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services; A3 q5 M6 a% _# {
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
) q9 F+ u, h5 O5 C$ D: }- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies7 b% H" e5 L6 ]1 q
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members* k& \0 D4 W+ i& D
- update ASSIST website
/ u& P; }0 o5 w5 S4 Z- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
3 u. ~$ `+ r! m9 f- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services, |% \, V) W8 o
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
9 l9 E/ O7 Z7 n7 b. T- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
: C+ w1 y% H( n$ E- hold regular meetings with ISP team3 W0 ]; y, r1 d; H: m5 ?, j8 B4 V
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)' Q$ z7 Q+ X9 m @9 J

7 C5 E8 K) k' `* c A- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
& v5 \4 ?2 Z( S. O F" a1 F! r- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
' A9 t5 d8 ~: G; X* P5 r# n- experience in community work and immigrant services, y8 \9 [4 W5 e0 f
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
