Wow. In edmonton, if we're talking about academics, then it is definitely going to be in the following order$ K: `& A+ @" Q/ n

Strathcona is more known for being a "jock" school - in other words, very athletic. It was also more populated with caucasians... I don't know if that's changed in the last 4/5 years... maybe there are more asians there now? Don't know. . }9 O9 d+ G1 Y& X2 c

Anyways, besides Strathcona being well known for sports, I have never really heard of it being well known for other attributes... Yes there is an AP program, but as far as I know, IB (as offered by Harry Ainlay) is still more renowned. Also... Harry Ainlay has a french immersion program. :); v& n' m$ X% o5 `1 v6 }6 h

Vic Comp used to be attractive for "artsy students", but now, the new Lillian Osbourne has taken its ranks for being an artsy school... v8 l5 G/ i. _. [( h1 X
) G( T5 Z+ s6 e" J# j& VOtherwise, I still consider Old Scona and Harry Ainlay some of the better schools around in terms of academics :)
