Wow. In edmonton, if we're talking about academics, then it is definitely going to be in the following order

" h$ n( Y3 b( ~Strathcona is more known for being a "jock" school - in other words, very athletic. It was also more populated with caucasians... I don't know if that's changed in the last 4/5 years... maybe there are more asians there now? Don't know. , D% S8 U: G2 y

Anyways, besides Strathcona being well known for sports, I have never really heard of it being well known for other attributes... Yes there is an AP program, but as far as I know, IB (as offered by Harry Ainlay) is still more renowned. Also... Harry Ainlay has a french immersion program. :)

For students that have a passion for arts:
+ [1 O# R) S/ q% |6 wVic Comp used to be attractive for "artsy students", but now, the new Lillian Osbourne has taken its ranks for being an artsy school...

) z% h1 K% i5 r5 }( j5 ^* g4 TOtherwise, I still consider Old Scona and Harry Ainlay some of the better schools around in terms of academics :)6 n8 i5 Y% F0 h4 G) s+ C
