Duties
5 g" Q; P- ^: B# c, EWorks within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele
0 H! C# k# U1 I$ {$ Z3 I% qResponsible for specialization in workstation image management
% t6 h+ F* c! l! |8 C; N9 J: E* \Responsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers
/ ]1 _# _2 X, A3 O Y8 ?& E& |; rProvides help desk and on-call (after hours) support4 i3 _7 y/ w9 x# R$ w) w4 t
Works within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff6 e, K( [* k7 h/ `
Edits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System
3 o+ O7 j8 O( Y* ~$ [Develops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP
\4 ?) `9 b* Q3 b8 o$ KDevelops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
. f/ p; a2 v9 \& cDesigns, develops and implements MySQL relational databases, k+ Z* u; H+ [3 W4 _. m
Qualifications
( _* {5 t" r" F! ^& j0 CTwo year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program
* V0 H; F p V4 v5 h3 `Recent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer6 H0 L& y1 R: R: K8 {+ G9 `! J
Minimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations
( ^5 X5 w' C' ^Experience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)
