Idioms----I learned some idioms and made some sentence. Who can guess the meanin

He quit his job as soon as he  got an interview with a publishing company.. He really jumped the gun.
$ Q' `$ A5 t* p7 A' x) WHis wife saw he having lunch with a female client in a restaurant, she jumped the gun and accused him of having an affair. , x) s! |; i0 t) U( x0 g# v7 {
Hold your horses, otherwise you may make a mistake.
! y4 y- f# L4 A# EYou won’t get burned by choosing our product.( n) b& H& \# B6 e- f
He wants to have his cake and eat it, but there is no doubt that he won’t be successful without hard working.
  G0 T& b( l0 {# i7 pThey were supposed to win, but Jim blew it. Eventually they took second place in the game..
3 }0 a$ ?* F3 R  g; ]My goodness! We have to be back to square one because we get the wrong direction.
6 g& }4 t' R& Z6 wThe method you used in your work is off base, I hope you have your job redone.

About one year ago I met a girl in university, I slept with her after our first date, we really jumped the gun and had a good time as well. However, when I proposed to her, she said, "Hold your horses", it turned out she was married! Obviously, I would get burned if her husband knew about our affair, so I told her explicitly, "You can't be married and single, you can't have your cake and eat it, too!",  I was very upset, coz I was expecting a serious relationship, but she blew it! She had a family, she even had a son, she just cheated on me, that is way off base! After I broke up with her, I have to be back to square one and look for a new relationship.

mostly good, but I don't think the "get burned" and "blew it" is used properly here.

get burned = get into trouble/ w1 Y  y5 Z5 Z, D% y* |* b
blow it = ruin it
