Normie Kwong, a legendary football fullback nicknamed the "China Clipper" after he became the first Chinese-Canadian in the CFL, has been named Alberta's new lieutenant-governor.

fullback 全卫，进攻组成员，位于四分位quarterback和半位halfback之后，和halfback合称为跑卫 (running back, RB) 。在冲锋进攻时，通常是由体型壮硕的全卫跑在前面开路，而由中卫跟在其后持球冲锋。他们必须在接到四分卫的「递球」(handoff) 后立刻抱紧球，看哨锋与其它队友阻挡的情形，来寻找任何的「洞」(hole,缝隙) ，以决定最有利的冲刺路线，并躲避防守球员加诸其身的任何擒抱与撞击。而在抛传进攻时，他们则可以前冲而变成接球员，或是协助「内攻击线锋」的队友们，来保护四分卫。速度与灵敏是跑卫的主要条件。

& W2 n: T: C' sKwong won his first Grey Cup with the Calgary Stampeders, then joined the Edmonton Eskimos and helped them win three championships in a row.

) y# N; E& J9 |: ^The Edmonton Eskimos won six Grey Cup championships during Normie's time with the team. He, himself, was All Canadian Fullback five times; a two-time Schenley Award winner, Most Outstanding Canadian in 1955 and 1956 and Canadian Athlete of the Year in 1955.

Kwong, who is five feet seven inches tall and then weighed 170 pounds, racked up more than 30 CFL records before he retired from the sport in 1960.

The Order of Canada是对有杰出贡献的Canadian的一种国家奖赏，算是劳模之类的，由总督颁发。从1967年开始至今已有四千人获此殊荣。
