K2 V3 `$ ~- z# }* \( BEISA is a non-profit immigrant serving agency. Settlement Workers in Schools & Libraries is a partnership of Settlement Agencies, School Boards, Public Libraries, Citizenship & Immigration Canada & other government levels.

In order to better help newcomer students and their families settle in their school/community, Citizenship & Immigration Canada, Settlement Agencies and School Boards intend to establish a school and Library based outreach program called Settlement Workers in Schools & Libraries (SWISL) in Edmonton, Grande Prairie and Fort McMurray.

: l3 u c) G- J# G6 QKey responsibilities: oversee the day-to-day activities/operations of the project; facilitate & support the planning & implementation of the SWISL Program; develop/deliver training and professional development for SWISL workers; develop resources for students, parents & SWISL workers.

PLUS: act as a resource and support for the SWISL project; promote the project and facilitate training, information sharing, problem-solving and networking between SWISL stakeholders in Edmonton and Northern Alberta.

0 E( H' |9 e" X/ JKey Qualifications: Post secondary education in a related field; excellent oral & written communication skills; experience in developing resources, delivery of training, facilitating meetings; knowledge of the settlement & education sectors; experience in program coordination; demonstrated computer skills in MS Excel, Access, internet & dBase management programs; work collaboratively with a variety of partners; preferably proficient in both English & French. / Q- m1 h: A Y4 F
