CALGARY - Six people, including one child, were taken to hospital with minor injuries Wednesday morning after the boom arm of a crane truck struck the front of a light-rail transit train.8 \3 E# V0 {* ?8 v& R

The accident happened around 10:20 a.m. when the southbound train was on its way to the Brentwood C-Train station. There were about 30 people aboard the train when it was struck by the crane, which was stationed on Crowchild Trail southbound. The train derailed as a result of the collision, coming to an abrupt stop and causing several passengers to fall, police said: {; g8 T& ~4 K q: `; v$ i9 ]- \
