) P9 T! d8 X' F8 d0 B% O" L2 f    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
5 b2 j! V5 x/ z7 V    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
2 G# N. ]( C4 |# A6 {1 a9 S7 u3 U4 E    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
- d6 |3 d+ O! z9 v9 I3 ?! o    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
7 ~  h0 t: L1 I" \! C    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
! d) j# @; \5 ]. ?6 n    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning
/ @8 a! b  c% [' ]& O0 B    * Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
) h( T0 d" D/ ?; u4 e- W3 W    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
: f+ I  N7 Q& P: q    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
. Y1 X2 T# g/ Z- {  @0 ?* W  T& ^- `. y* q; \    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

- Z/ \& k' ?8 g" N, R, x8 OQualifications

    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
3 O/ b& O: l. D7 Z+ E  U    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
