* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program* c4 K8 m1 w3 T9 a# m. j- ^
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities1 C9 e: c5 B8 P* t1 r
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
4 v& q( K2 ]- C, l& O c/ a7 ] * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
5 j5 a6 k4 [% W5 N! I5 G; k c * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
" l0 Q5 ^. U. a& l5 e * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
1 o0 L$ H% O0 v+ y. p( R d0 g* q e * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
; c& O1 J9 j7 c6 ` * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director8 [, s$ f+ E/ x. O j9 k$ y# V
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies5 R. E( F: H y5 e

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
5 v, t% B) `/ q" e * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth1 p+ M8 k/ E6 n, ?
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
, \4 {8 L- @9 i+ U: s" X * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
5 E0 S, F) ^. |2 O$ K) p" | * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills9 x1 o3 n) m: ?0 c }# N
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning" y. z. ^9 r+ v! j
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
