* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
' P- v# y! S; ?# ^7 y* e Y * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities3 X+ b+ d6 V0 p4 m* `
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes* {* j/ t3 o8 W: R2 Q" C8 ^7 O
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat$ V. }" O1 c) L( z& J8 L
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders& S! V2 ]# Z" y% o# i0 e
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements+ _0 c! u. Y6 ]4 \2 W
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs) }1 x, v7 ]) b: q9 D$ D, y- ?
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director3 D, o0 Z7 E' M6 {" z6 b+ [
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning9 p5 a) v* c$ }, j% a/ p, F0 [
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
* \3 Q- y( m: }+ g8 w * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
+ K7 c J u9 T" ~ * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results

Qualifications
( g- f0 t8 L) D9 a8 G* S" F& l5 q- D6 j' p
* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
1 e: p9 M0 G- c" t * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth- T5 r3 }, z7 P/ y" h T; X2 ]
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset6 ~8 A; q5 e) I+ b, F2 b
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
' Z0 L; D0 W+ m5 K* k3 M7 f * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
) u2 |4 H& }1 U: n * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning2 T( e5 S: T9 @; }0 G" Z! J9 j
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)9 c' i6 x0 n3 \
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills1 q" l& w# _/ H, Z
