Position Title: Junior New Equipment Sales Consultant x 2& t2 f8 y5 F' n& r/ S K$ b# r
Location: Calgary and Vancouver% ^3 [, {8 x G' e
Reports to: National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities: - F. I" B* I, J8 T" E( r ^
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
: `4 A, ~/ h* R: z) ?( ~$ N• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
' W" V7 s) I |7 M# G• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. 1 c% t5 ]6 \) {8 i! n# H' G
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
/ d! Y/ ?1 m; O9 c• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.1 V, k8 w# q. c" V" \% M
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.& H& B; G. h& I' b" I: r0 K
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas./ E( ~9 S; x& P$ T8 J6 N
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
0 K* L3 S h4 p" |" H& A• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
, U+ |5 | V2 W" F• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
5 I3 m5 S k6 z$ x• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.* i) F4 k& {1 a# ]4 X8 T: |0 e
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.1 i2 U& W9 z0 ]/ s3 A) ^1 p
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications:
n/ A u/ l' l4 m8 R, U• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is encouraged but not required.
P# |8 r L* K& ~9 H• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
) y# ]1 O b! \• 1-2 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. * K- b2 ^; | m7 v" V5 o% M; k! m
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. ) O2 Q/ ~9 f' `; {! Z* h
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential2 K5 h8 S' n8 M* U/ s
• Not scared of heights
- c' H, s; W B• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
: F, O& g [ S3 B• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
