问几个很简单的英文问题

1. 怎么用pay and pay for?问西人,回答是,你可以说pay the bill, pay for that, but not pay for the bill.

     他们知道怎么说,对于我们ESL就需要一定的rules,但他们又说不出,哪位有主意?

2.到目前为止怎么表达? 口语中有so far so good, 但如果要说一句子,大意为"到目前为止情况是这样的",英文怎么说?

9 o5 Q( |+ i, z9 S) d& j3. 有没有这种英文表达:not as i know? 表示"至少我不知道".
4.interest in: 我以为我可以说you might not interest in it, 但据说必要是you might not be interest in it, 是吗?为什么?前者好象语法上也没错呀?是不是在英文中就是没有前者的表达方式?

5. 有没有这样的网站可以让我们这些ESL在上班时用于查语法的? 上班常用电邮与同事沟通,完美主义的我希望每封邮件都不带语法错误,免的象一个中国人被老板指出电邮错误太多,被要求去上ESL课,虽然好象是公司出钱,但对于我来说 面子更重要.

3 .Not that I know of. 类似用法，Not that I am aware of.

5.我工作中的解决方法是用google，当不确信一个词的用法时，试着google, 输入你不确信句子的主要部分，点搜索，顺藤摸瓜。如果用法正确，网上有例句，你可以确信。如果错误，网上会列举正确或近似的词条供你参考。这是最快的一种验证方法。我用google查单词拼写正误和确认语法正误。

9 B4 h+ j: R9 d另找一个你最喜欢的在线英文查单词网站。平时工作中有时间时我查英英在线词典，没时间时用dict.cn查英译汉词典。

pay用作及物动词时，后面接表示人的词语，即pay sb．意为“付款给某人”。如：


He paid me five yuan．他付了我五元钱。

Have you paid the doctor yet？医生的酬金付了吗？


pay for中的pay为不及物动词，其宾语多为物，即pay for sth．，意为“付款买某物”；其宾语为人时，即pay for sb．，意为“替某人付款。”如：

He can't pay for the TV set at the moment．他现在还不能给这台电视机付款。

顺便更正一下云吞，我英语也就初中毕业，没上过高中。
同意for sale --要卖 on sale--处理
例句：
9 s0 r; W+ z+ L4 n& h& {3 A9 P1 ]" O0 bThis boat is for sale. 这船是用来卖的。
The coat is on sale.这件大衣在打折。（降价处理)

其实不用担心你的email有语法错误，以为很多本地人的拼写也会出错或语法有问题，因为他们常常写信口语话。我觉得倒要注意我们中国人的表达习惯，应该简洁一些，不需要太多客套，甚至可以用1，2，3，4 把要说的事一条条列下来，清清楚楚。这样也省了大家的时间。
