Definition of Restricted Dog
5 z3 I; `, F0 o ~/ pThe City of Edmonton Bylaw #13145 defines a "restricted dog" as any dog:
) s8 S" h0 i. ]# N( U" n% u' H6 ]8 E0 r8 b7 [
That has chased, attacked or bitten any person or animal causing physical injury and resulting in a conviction under this bylaw 8 {/ L G$ p a; Y
That has chased, attacked or bitten any person or animal on more than one occasion, with or without causing physical injury, and resulting in separate convictions under this bylaw 5 d% @$ e+ F% Q, [) M
That has been made the subject of an order under the Dangerous Dogs Act " C- t# p- p6 Y( s+ ^ R3 }
Certified by an Alberta licenced veterinarian to be primarily of the breed Staffordshire Bull Terrier as that breed is defined by the Canadian Kennel Club

Note: The restricted dog definition does NOT include any dog that is registered, or eligible for registration, with the Canadian Kennel Club as a purebred Staffordshire Bull Terrier or American Staffordshire Terrier.
