A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

The program includes the following elements:
( ]7 O# U+ y; j! Y) q• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)
5 o, P; A7 {8 W0 E2 `• Standard Child Care First Aid
• WHMIS
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
/ m; z6 t! t7 I# p$ d2 \• Components to improve communication skills
- f6 ]7 d" j9 C( u2 C; V" k4 B: I• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search
• Practicum Placements
6 N' Q& G1 f* T2 e" _Eligibility Criteria
( b8 s, m3 e3 L  F  J• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
( W: T& p" f7 k8 e7 ]" Hof Canada
. o8 d/ }/ o- D; D1 {$ }• have a Social Insurance Number
) E0 c0 H& _+ p0 {6 b3 X7 T• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
7 P2 n8 C3 c. E% @# a" d7 Y  s1 m• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time
& ?3 [  p/ |" E( V! v0 v1 @: a7 Vprogram
$ n" Y1 [( M+ L# r- I/ W  ~* tParticipants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
! S/ _+ T( Z5 H$ O3 [• be unemployed or underemployed.
They CANNOT quit their job to take the course
; d8 |9 N' L  _' f• meet the financial eligibility criteria

Got Nicole's reply ., The fee is $4560, including everything. and many people are available for their funding. They have a finacial assistant to help you there. So fiRst either give them a call or just email Nicole. She is very nice and helpful.

our next session runs April 6 to June 26.  It is full time Monday through Thursday we start at 8:30  am until 3:30 pm.  Fridays we run 8:30 am until 12 pm.  The class location is at Nova Plaza (8914 – 118 Avenue).
