Job Description
Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
% R8 ?0 z) ?/ z- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
& `7 C; b$ A; y  i, y: n- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
8 r2 W2 n, S5 [: u! P4 s/ U. m6 c- Prepare final report for funding agency

+ H* N/ u; }# T
- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
% S/ N! t& [) W$ Q7 ^1 n& y8 G- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
! H8 T9 }/ }* H- P8 w- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
1 m9 G2 o; f+ F. B, n, i- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
: J* _; x9 D: S' _7 L. R- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
4 ~- g* u! d' ^- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
