本人今年5月毕业准备申请3年工签   但是护照2010年10月过期   请问护照可以提前一年多续签的吗?   
; s0 ?# k6 y  l* C6 f  \7 `因为不续签的话  只能那到1年工签  以后再去续的话怕没有2年那么多了
如果可以  学校的证明信应该怎么写呢??
& P( @/ p& ^' S7 y' }今天打去calgary的领事馆   打了很多次都没人接   很郁闷   发邮件   没有回音

you can renew your passport, and let them know, you are applying for a three years work permit (will be valid to 2012) and your passport is being expired in 2010.

They will accepte this situation. Please be advised that Chinese Consulate General does not extend your passport, and they ONLY issue you a new one. It usually takes a month.
