: J. [3 X1 X+ k. J$ H, u* Z    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
" i$ I! }: ?. p1 c# D0 Y2 k    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
! V% v+ V/ J0 `+ D    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
& }+ r' O) H9 X; q3 d" D6 b2 f# b    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
# S" G' d0 f) R, @    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

! h- l9 g/ Y" s, J就是怕市道不好，UA 把價錢壓低了。
本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。


好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.
# v/ ?/ P5 ?$ [9 v4 l* Q
ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
