    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
* x) ^1 ^7 |2 v( X) A; ^7 @0 s    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
2 O5 Q6 ^, `9 d$ }9 R& @: [: l7 M    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
+ \. m5 B: t; w+ P% C# n& B    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students

V" [" p# R: c    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

& y7 D6 j( q+ v  U1 X; u本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

0 q& G0 q+ S! M, l& C: Z* g5 x0 @好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
  ]" m$ e# W+ W, I9 C8 |: kwage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

! Z* c* o8 @% n3 q! k" Dti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
