Duties

7 W: X' D7 r8 T$ m* V/ ]) L    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
$ H! B; R; e3 N4 w: X% A: S    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
7 j: M4 l* L, [8 |$ ^8 P    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

就是怕市道不好，UA 把價錢壓低了。
/ o( X% G  C* G$ K1 h% {8 W1 f: u本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

3 b1 E7 a  J  _4 @& a0 r1 YSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
8 m* v1 J5 t+ u. V9 A0 e- x9 r% h7 ~wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.
! m2 e7 x7 h, r' x" k4 c2 Z2 j
ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
