Duties

( n5 N) c( \2 }, j9 [; t7 i+ D    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
; s) e  K2 p8 b2 |6 B    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
" S' g8 t. `9 N0 h    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs

    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

就是怕市道不好，UA 把價錢壓低了。
( e, _" A' {! B3 @( h. T' e: X本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

5 f! W7 D- N9 u6 j1 ^- N8 k" K3 N好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
6 {! _: y7 b& {, @) wSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.
) o8 D+ c2 e- z$ n' j( C
ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
