Responsibilities:
7 O, A4 d& r& Z9 L4 c; y-        Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
: Y2 ]( w" g) G; A! r7 c       (ages 6 to 15)
-        Recruit children for summer programs
-        Recruit volunteers for summer programs
-        Record keeping
+ Z6 }; X3 X; d$ E-        Provide orientation for parents
2 B; Y6 y% y1 K-        Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
# C; h% v- r* O( r-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

# s+ z8 z. P! \2 dQualifications:
3 r1 f# ]0 V. Y7 m7 }: F) |-        Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
6 @7 o$ F, W% f% G-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
3 Q* j4 k3 \8 o; B: A-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* v- @6 K1 e! K$ T$ |-        Returning student (should return to school after summer)
! U# _4 I. x, @  w-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)   
        and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009

Salary
-        $15 per hour
