Youth Summer Program Assistant, 2009

Responsibilities:
-        Support the Youth Program Coordinator in the preparation and
        implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Youth Program Coordinator

-        Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
* K0 F3 X2 ~. ^9 ?# K        Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
, Y4 N/ `8 U% R' A  E% L8 {-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
4 u/ h: P6 u$ C. J9 i6 u-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
! D2 I6 j7 Q& g0 T! V  T-        Returning student (should return to school after summer)
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

8 ~" a2 h) b* L7 b/ p3 t-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)
        and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
$ L$ J  k. r4 u& Q/ m5 x( j-        Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
