Job Description
Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
/ @9 N5 r6 X: b( T2 t6 @5 uResponsibilities:
/ G+ \) _1 w& u. g1 d% E- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
7 c7 B+ Y5 ?1 l/ F% ?! O4 F% A- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:

- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
+ u" `4 G1 V5 [- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
5 X% b! A7 X3 X, V6 u$ w/ M- A- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
. D  v; l9 Y8 n4 B4 p- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
8 }& V& R8 J$ [# N3 D9 ]0 @3 n- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
