FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization ! V' `$ R0 _7 f! _) S8 ~9 P
whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media

+ W( X( F G% c, ]- `7 zand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a : o2 d, j$ v* p
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 1 |9 g6 H5 n' x* F# [' G% M8 {2 r
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 6 F# }1 @" o B# c# X8 b5 z9 W

Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by $ g: Q2 p4 n8 P
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

- Assist with research on acquisition grants
( g h; W. e: I# p- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities - G! f: Q' ^$ M( ~' K4 Y4 V
- Assist with equipment maintenance + ]) I7 q8 @; j% O3 K) h! T
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
# G; U, {( P: X, U8 N5 F) } Z; h; A1 q- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
+ v+ f0 ?# q1 q2 P) M- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Advance organizational and research skills
