whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ! E8 E. \, z" o! y9 c/ C0 @
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and # }: O! n& x6 W* C7 S# s
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern # v' a; s* n/ L* X# D

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
' i6 R3 |" c4 V5 tDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
% E W R, x: h" w* g3 rassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

. q& l. t& M0 n4 l- Assist with research on acquisition grants v- O2 {" S; A; @
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
) y: O: O5 Q; [4 d: T' `5 X- Assist with equipment maintenance
7 p; L. a M2 s" N/ ]- Assist with production logistics for programming events - |0 q% {4 O' F, I6 m- L
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
& f) }( A* t: X- @- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 6 |3 Y+ _7 r/ Q* G! s. k/ g
- Provide vacation relief & k7 J6 C4 {: @' a! K4 B: H+ K* g: M Q

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
