FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the / d0 s& n3 i! O
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
2 U/ q: V4 o; g& O' ]9 {support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
0 E8 {4 j: P2 r' W7 D/ ]Alberta. + k1 k) ?& e$ \; [4 G: t, Z1 J
- X* I3 J# U& c' w2 [FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
8 y' B! N: o2 K6 e, O0 lemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video + w5 j' U$ b7 v
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
: V" V' N% e$ x& ?: \resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
3 P% R' r; Q4 p' j; dscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern & R# S/ X/ L( l* a4 n
Alberta.

/ Q5 N7 f! D& C' e# z0 g+ X1 L) SJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
1 l$ S( ]! h( @FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
5 c" X. ?. \6 G; c/ Q) X$ Cwell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
, v5 O& S5 U, n7 _7 K- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books

/ B F! j( e+ L' @- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
: o( D" o5 i1 h9 f/ r+ \6 Y- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week ) n6 o# `! ~( k; e/ T, e) F) k
