FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 1 q: {" |5 q5 H: S" a* W2 `2 d
Alberta.

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

. X/ q+ ]- L5 O0 P6 A9 T% JJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 8 |- {4 M8 p$ P& z& s: ]
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
( u9 r9 z3 W' X% y% R! {well as the script, magazine and book library. + F: }1 o8 t+ }6 n/ u

/ e! q& s( H" J+ m3 b/ q5 T- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
0 H' ~9 k/ W5 {4 r. j' e- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 5 k4 J0 \+ U# O( G5 g; j
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
8 \+ g7 N8 J4 c7 b- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
& z3 i+ V1 A2 u" d' g- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week % ?4 d: l! T5 M7 C& \
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts ) R3 B0 U$ D) d9 b) a

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
