Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

- Organize focus group(s)
7 J# M  u1 }/ {8 V- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
& m0 t" ^$ ]$ d+ t- Recruit children for summer program
1 L, N( G. ~* J, P( X3 ~/ G% {- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
7 ~* y5 W4 ~! ]8 J) E* G; j- Supervise volunteer(s)
& ?9 ~/ J6 U/ \& x7 {- Prepare final report for funding agency

. s/ T# m& [+ l1 ^: [Qualifications:

. W, n' o, z' T8 ^% T& d- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
/ D. V) x! x- M* I" o( e- communication skills
/ {& T- ~/ e1 O" `- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
. H  K. s1 Q: _- N' P/ t- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- q0 R7 ~& m- J- good computer skills
, [. |5 i" f8 A3 u- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Other

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
