動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.

The boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.: ^# s" B' [! C2 c, i

這男孩不過5、6歲。

are you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' '

老婦人回道:「親愛的!你知道買這個娃娃的錢是不夠的。」

( f2 |' O0 Y/ w. BThen she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.

'It ' s the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas.

" P. k0 p; F  Q5 vI replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.

% ]2 A' ^6 {& _* `% m2 v" dBut he replied to me sadly. ' No, Santa Claus can ' t bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there. '

His eyes were so sad while saying this. ' My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister. ' '

My heart nearly stopped.

The little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. '

Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. ' Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll! ' '

'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.% r/ L- n2 S5 y0 {% F) T: n# P
『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。: ^8 _- p9 c) q

The little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '; ?7 A- F. f/ [- x

Then he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '! h' q- I) C- ^* m( k0 I
然而他看著我補充說『昨晚睡前,我要求上帝讓我的錢能足夠買這個娃娃,因此媽媽能將它帶給我妹妹。祂聽見我了! 』

I finished my shopping in a totally different state of mind from when I started.8 N/ E, w5 k( p9 W

I couldn ' t get the little boy out of my mind.; Q! ^- }' X* H* p, v5 V

Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young9 G5 |& A1 Z- p- }$ p
woman and a little girl.
/ P2 z4 F  o2 E( F/ a9 P1 m我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。1 S2 ~' O, j& L6 b7 ?- J  M( S
& J% Q! d4 x( ?' l0 A  z* B% ^' ~) K$ o
The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical
1 \$ r$ `$ W: x" Z+ Qstate. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the" f4 C9 m& ?" v7 y
life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma." [* w$ b, Y! F+ D1 i
小女孩當場死亡,母親呈現彌留狀態。 這個家庭必須決定是否要拔出維持生命機器的插管+ T1 G  P  H& N' }$ g( u7 K1 N

I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.. r( o8 O3 i4 {6 ^/ p
我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。

+ k7 F# n# B7 }* VShe was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest., E5 U  B- Y( q" w& t/ R1 t! P

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is

对自己负责。对别人负责,对社会负责,请勿酒后驾车。因为这个小男孩有可能成为你家的孩子。
