動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.* Q0 m2 O( e9 U' x) f& V' l4 n
我在「塔杰」商店閒逛時,看到收銀員將一些錢退還給小男孩。7 y  V6 J5 Y. [% y  G
+ O9 a0 W0 G! J7 m/ h
The boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old./ M8 G4 B' b; k" u2 K8 b2 d

% X; E6 q% ]9 H) i# I$ n. y/ |The Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '& {  X( I3 Q/ G: N

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,, A+ t, P- |9 f4 C/ w& T
are you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' '; O0 R+ i2 E9 V
小男孩轉向他旁邊的老婦人:# V0 k# ^" V8 z( W/ n/ c

「奶奶!妳也認為我的錢不 嗎?」

The old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' ', ?& G8 a! f  ]2 k
老婦人回道:「親愛的!你知道買這個娃娃的錢是不夠的。」+ L8 n* I& ?5 x0 Y% d) ?

# o( V1 [1 r. ~) f, P$ Y' O' N! B0 ^" {" Y4 B
Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.

But he replied to me sadly. ' No, Santa Claus can ' t bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there. '

My heart nearly stopped.6 _8 e6 u! a$ g" s

/ ]5 w! f+ q/ @) Q6 q5 PThe little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. '

Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '# k! B. D; t( L

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.( }3 c% k9 ?1 l9 w4 k# d

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. ' Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll! ' '

5 H! O3 z) H& u'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.
5 \+ f. C& Z5 i7 w- X; B8 i! M- J『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。
% Y  H1 k, v* C& ^0 Q; G8 u ! u/ _$ [8 w/ _$ F- X$ C3 P6 D! \/ ~
The little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '
- Z, h/ c2 Q: h1 a小男孩說:『謝謝上帝給了我足 的錢!』1 S1 C$ K9 D, c/ V6 g, S) x

/ t& M8 _- |! u2 M; w" U+ F9 T# A- fThen he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '3 ?$ G3 K' b$ u9 H# t
然而他看著我補充說『昨晚睡前,我要求上帝讓我的錢能足夠買這個娃娃,因此媽媽能將它帶給我妹妹。祂聽見我了! 』

'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn ' t dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. ' '

I finished my shopping in a totally different state of mind from when I started.

I couldn ' t get the little boy out of my mind.

/ F* N9 }9 o$ L) k% d, rThen I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young
( [0 b, ?- P% J3 I3 }% Y6 C3 qwoman and a little girl.! w3 C2 z# T! t; U
我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。; d4 e, {/ }9 u- P/ {0 `5 p

The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical
" l' z$ O* I3 }8 y4 Tstate. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the, t. F; e! p* f8 I3 A) ]
life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.
- D( f7 E) S$ f8 S& \0 g, @! F1 W小女孩當場死亡,母親呈現彌留狀態。 這個家庭必須決定是否要拔出維持生命機器的插管& T8 U" T6 o( R- J. [6 V/ e
,因為年輕少婦不可能從昏迷中恢復。

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.: @, e6 D- C+ N' P9 @+ M

I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.
' n; q: W6 J2 D& W, O' r" o) e我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。

5 j' b0 r* H4 Z% H1 g. w8 DShe was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.! M/ f1 `) j5 Y$ y5 P& u) m2 b% p

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is

对自己负责。对别人负责,对社会负责,请勿酒后驾车。因为这个小男孩有可能成为你家的孩子。
