動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back., A8 c3 q% n+ F! h% l) [
我在「塔杰」商店閒逛時,看到收銀員將一些錢退還給小男孩。9 o: K3 _2 ]  T8 I/ [: |" ~9 i
; [0 m4 M2 [% M& Y: ]  Z
The boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.' x0 a: e' t# T5 g  h2 q+ Y1 V2 E
# r0 o# K$ \1 ^0 h1 b# v3 A
這男孩不過5、6歲。& B- H7 ?/ H/ B: M

The Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '/ j4 M& A( D$ `8 w
收銀員說:『抱歉!你買這娃娃的錢不夠。』; b2 C4 v( y' P( z" C

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,
( t* k7 O: M, K) S! c5 S. Y* C1 i8 Qare you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' ', _  R+ [3 p% n) j5 J

The old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' '8 ?  y3 o: E$ z& ]  h

Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.* W, f- b2 `  L, e5 h' j- p

His eyes were so sad while saying this. ' My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister. ' '

The little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. '

『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。

The little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '+ K' V$ Z, d* r( s+ Z( z: r

9 D( p% ~* s' `  {4 DThen he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '0 l1 w! T( b  J# w9 n0 v. r

% P7 L9 ^* U+ [* c# kThen I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young% @# _, X& W% N. @' f2 f
woman and a little girl.- F3 Z) e7 [2 |! m# V* S
我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。$ g) L9 `9 j/ |& m

% O% ~, E& v; J( m: Y) B& UThe little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical
/ d- ~& S- B4 H7 z4 x# Nstate. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the5 Y- x( C: n* C2 v0 N
life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.
# n' w0 X! c+ y3 j小女孩當場死亡,母親呈現彌留狀態。 這個家庭必須決定是否要拔出維持生命機器的插管, p( `# u* D9 M+ \% X

; q7 T) V" d4 e. p2 XI couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.7 G/ V; g! Z" C# M* M3 ^
我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.( Y# t5 v5 ^4 D3 R: y

* p, }# w0 M, J4 V. EI left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is7 a7 a7 M% m0 B$ Z
still, to this day, hard to imagine./ C% k$ Z, n" T9 R
