動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.! K0 [1 h* m5 `1 D! H6 {( }5 u; L" A
我在「塔杰」商店閒逛時,看到收銀員將一些錢退還給小男孩。" u4 a7 M& q7 P% L$ ?% P

& }3 w6 D$ G4 I! L3 w& V& ?The boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.0 ]0 a2 G7 V" p& \- Z) `/ w) V

這男孩不過5、6歲。

The Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '
: C: I% c5 J/ x3 v8 g! w收銀員說:『抱歉!你買這娃娃的錢不夠。』

) Z3 s6 c) x+ N; Q7 r8 M  iThen the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,

小男孩轉向他旁邊的老婦人:

1 r* J3 N+ q  Y& pThe old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' '

7 m7 z& C) C% l: U! K4 E  eThen she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.

Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

8 p) r0 }- J* d7 U% E$ ^0 TI quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. ' Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll! ' '

% e0 j3 w0 l' T1 \* N' m'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money., i" c, t+ Q# p( i0 ^" Q& i
『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。, Y4 @0 q0 P2 ]+ D7 I! p; \- `

The little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '
! Y; s) @- j) ^" L小男孩說:『謝謝上帝給了我足 的錢!』, A/ i3 p) h/ s

Then he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '% r5 ]- o2 H, Z) `

'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn ' t dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. ' '1 [, M! l, d+ o8 w' _

! Y  h$ k/ S+ _" o" t) u: TI finished my shopping in a totally different state of mind from when I started.

I couldn ' t get the little boy out of my mind.9 a, Z0 r% t% A( K# v

) `" ?5 Q# I& ?/ b/ X6 b4 }Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young& N1 k. d" m, f% O( W
woman and a little girl.# F8 a# N8 C* Q3 W* R. _7 G' f
我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。

The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical3 h2 B7 J: W9 X
state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the
9 ?4 g/ ?7 d1 Q9 llife-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.
. r$ S: k; a- q  j小女孩當場死亡,母親呈現彌留狀態。 這個家庭必須決定是否要拔出維持生命機器的插管
& |4 Y0 I7 K& D% j+ C8 g,因為年輕少婦不可能從昏迷中恢復。

7 p# i* ?4 J2 i( z- i, `Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.

I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.
* f# Q0 c$ U" t  A$ K3 Z! Q. w我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。
! ~3 }" j9 X, I
% v% s) G& I" G8 W6 z$ g1 A. `% j- _She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.2 N8 D2 y' ?- M0 w6 g% w

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is: {+ n# ^  F% j; X
still, to this day, hard to imagine.* [2 z% g8 m* z

对自己负责。对别人负责,对社会负责,请勿酒后驾车。因为这个小男孩有可能成为你家的孩子。
