動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.1 {* [0 ]# A  z7 m+ X( H( l

5 |$ h7 L) ~# E4 {/ ]! sThe boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.- C! A4 x# V! r( X) {+ W

The Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '7 A3 m) G: ~; ]. f: k# j
收銀員說:『抱歉!你買這娃娃的錢不夠。』
* |  S& ]4 o; Z: [4 @$ P/ Q
8 _! Y9 D, P) s% k* pThen the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,
0 r4 r# P" h7 ^' v/ a& _are you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' '' |  h/ e( `. D8 e% q2 I
小男孩轉向他旁邊的老婦人:% @4 ]5 R# ^- g+ T5 v6 q3 y6 l

「奶奶!妳也認為我的錢不 嗎?」

& V  ?' J: q3 A! n$ nThe old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' '; H: e% e/ U* C$ G  u5 m
老婦人回道:「親愛的!你知道買這個娃娃的錢是不夠的。」

Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.

2 T, W; B  I4 HThe little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.7 B% b+ d( l: M3 Z' L

  N6 D5 S, w9 \( B& U* `) r! `But he replied to me sadly. ' No, Santa Claus can ' t bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there. '

4 C' A# H' G. b4 p" s& lHis eyes were so sad while saying this. ' My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister. ' ') a  C% l9 e+ e6 }
他說話時的眼睛是哀傷的。『我妹妹已經和上帝在一起。爸爸說 媽媽很快也將要去見上帝,因此我認為她可以將娃娃帶給我妹妹。』. L( y% r2 e% j9 U8 L2 T2 A+ s

" t  ?. T. v7 b5 a3 _The little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. '' z/ p: u7 x: e) C/ N/ i
小男孩看我說:『我叫爸爸告訴媽媽現在不要走,讓她等我從購物中心回來。』

Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '5 q4 m3 b' L; [- C4 D6 g8 w, S

$ @  ], e. c! P. l+ I'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.! j+ T9 M7 o" f  W4 _0 Y$ B  S
『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。/ L0 p+ b( h0 r0 }

The little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '
# Y1 E; E9 I4 U) I4 b# j9 I小男孩說:『謝謝上帝給了我足 的錢!』

) f9 M9 D) d0 T+ RThen he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '8 b5 h7 X, Z+ n) w8 \  C
然而他看著我補充說『昨晚睡前,我要求上帝讓我的錢能足夠買這個娃娃,因此媽媽能將它帶給我妹妹。祂聽見我了! 』0 l3 M- c2 f0 `3 L1 {' U& t  g

1 x& R9 S6 }; p$ `8 C'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn ' t dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. ' '6 ^3 {  W3 J" P* T3 q

'My mommy loves white roses. '

+ V3 Y+ W3 o" u7 g7 {# H: xThen I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young7 B! d% D! N4 Y
woman and a little girl.
2 c0 w$ a1 m! r我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。
4 p2 |: Z( c4 a; \1 n* Z9 Y9 c 1 q) ~) R0 ]3 H! O1 F9 a
The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical, |( s) H6 V" w& _2 m4 B3 L+ ?
state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the
6 f& J0 z5 T4 X: W. H6 R% Llife-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.
8 A9 @# A1 O2 C( a, S5 W0 w+ i小女孩當場死亡,母親呈現彌留狀態。 這個家庭必須決定是否要拔出維持生命機器的插管( v9 {' k) Q8 q
,因為年輕少婦不可能從昏迷中恢復。

Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.
0 y$ ^% n( E8 G( N4 A碰到小男孩的二天之後,我看了報紙年輕少婦過世了。
# ]3 Y; I4 S0 x( P4 _) f# K. D- U 7 y- c: D( _$ j/ D# K4 |( E9 ]! t
I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.
" i8 C6 i3 I/ B$ e8 m, v" `. W( g我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。
( q0 X; O+ [" {) {3 W' R% k7 i5 N  a. o$ K3 d+ K
She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.+ c/ L; s* o+ ?: B( i8 b* U4 }
她在那裡,裝在棺木中,在她的手中握著一朵白玫瑰和小男孩的相片,娃娃則放置在她的胸口。

7 w( L( Y$ L! K+ B5 H( y5 W1 yI left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is

- f5 a& O; m* b4 [我離開了這裡,眼淚奪眶而出,覺得我的人生已經永遠改變了。至今,小男孩對他母親和妹妹的愛,仍然難以想像。  b6 e4 |8 r9 p5 r% m6 e9 n. L
