動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.
' d3 G0 P+ e, A7 {4 D. @. q: x我在「塔杰」商店閒逛時,看到收銀員將一些錢退還給小男孩。

這男孩不過5、6歲。

# @$ c) X1 p* L. [) _6 vThe Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '5 i1 o- e6 U& I# i+ ?( v- u
收銀員說:『抱歉!你買這娃娃的錢不夠。』

: T( |7 @) a2 R4 n  k0 [$ dThen the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,
: z; d7 P' o' _0 N5 N9 u+ x* {) hare you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' '
6 Y1 ?3 k; s, h( s+ ~! [: X* V. R小男孩轉向他旁邊的老婦人:

「奶奶!妳也認為我的錢不 嗎?」
% f* P, y- P' }  y% Y / a0 N' V$ _/ {. w4 j
The old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' '
3 H5 c6 s2 Y$ I) O$ J" ?' Q( ^老婦人回道:「親愛的!你知道買這個娃娃的錢是不夠的。」

& z6 x, x' ?5 w, a; S# ?+ f' n4 ]& r: ?1 l6 J+ G: R) J$ T* l9 N: W2 D' W
Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.

; X* b" ?6 Q4 y0 \'It ' s the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas.

She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her. '

+ X; r( w2 W* W: k1 yBut he replied to me sadly. ' No, Santa Claus can ' t bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there. '

His eyes were so sad while saying this. ' My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister. ' '

My heart nearly stopped.

The little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. '- S7 |8 h3 V% j( I
小男孩看我說:『我叫爸爸告訴媽媽現在不要走,讓她等我從購物中心回來。』

Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '& I' Z% s$ I" {+ R3 t

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. ' Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll! ' '

, r* e2 G; \* U'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.
2 Q1 T3 s5 a2 |# {2 p0 z1 h" ]『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。8 P# m. r) R$ B* d" ]' G0 w

The little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '

& [! G8 ?) T* l4 ?5 x: {# t* VThen he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '

  H7 O5 `: N# V6 |! Z* LI finished my shopping in a totally different state of mind from when I started.

I couldn ' t get the little boy out of my mind., [9 ^' W. u3 J- b# F/ l

Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young
8 T7 P4 r, \& w+ w: V* h- T& Z; Nwoman and a little girl.
  `. D; ~- X; S: Y9 F$ \4 w* k, K我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。0 r& G* `0 p2 |. v" \3 T  C

0 X5 d! w5 V: C+ |$ ^: i% QThe little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical
+ P% @0 W% f0 A4 K8 ]state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the! T8 U$ B/ Y0 ~, E
life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.& e  N/ \3 Q1 q$ z! A0 V
小女孩當場死亡,母親呈現彌留狀態。 這個家庭必須決定是否要拔出維持生命機器的插管

I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.
" Q# l# f. `$ s2 L' J我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。
+ n6 |7 g  H  C7 F
! q" J; N0 G# I  bShe was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is8 U* k- v# ^3 C' q: o; L) e- I
still, to this day, hard to imagine.
& J# J. @8 M- o- C5 {我離開了這裡,眼淚奪眶而出,覺得我的人生已經永遠改變了。至今,小男孩對他母親和妹妹的愛,仍然難以想像。

对自己负责。对别人负责,对社会负责,请勿酒后驾车。因为这个小男孩有可能成为你家的孩子。
