動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.

The boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.7 ~$ u* ?' |" k5 h+ i8 ^. V2 v

The Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '

. ]- p$ }8 V2 UThen the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny," ~. r% }& V' I8 t
are you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' '

The old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' '
* e- s9 x# @1 |8 {6 F( Y老婦人回道:「親愛的!你知道買這個娃娃的錢是不夠的。」+ c1 b! e: H$ B% W7 k& p

0 X2 G8 ~" q( I, OThen she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.8 q. Y1 i- O) C+ s  d% Y6 h) ^

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.; K; o1 k* w) |7 F) B% @

But he replied to me sadly. ' No, Santa Claus can ' t bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there. '3 C9 o/ S$ f; i- V- F6 O2 l# \

His eyes were so sad while saying this. ' My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister. ' '& C2 q5 b; R2 i4 Z- r

My heart nearly stopped.

The little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. '

Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '* j  Y2 h$ @* \9 K+ \

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. ' Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll! ' '

. e3 F+ ^1 w8 i$ v'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.3 x! P. w7 @! z" W& l9 ]; _
『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。, \6 @* H' o* N- L0 f4 f

The little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '

Then he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '( G, B3 d) v. w" n/ T% I3 ~# f4 c

I finished my shopping in a totally different state of mind from when I started.

0 _, l3 s0 ~" T, ~% [1 |  @Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young
9 j; q! F1 z  b- Z2 b' u8 ^woman and a little girl.
0 y% N# G2 H( \# I+ u! u# u# i我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。

! y  I- g( m% |2 q2 v% j  qThe little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical) W6 u3 r9 w( g! G8 X8 Q9 y  l
state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the
( D: v: J" T/ dlife-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.
$ a# `6 `7 X, s小女孩當場死亡,母親呈現彌留狀態。 這個家庭必須決定是否要拔出維持生命機器的插管. F# I" ~" L* d' A( H9 k1 B( z+ }

Was this the family of the little boy?

  f, m  m9 B, t0 VTwo days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.

I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.
/ f# p3 j, |  c( P我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。

+ x8 a: Q! N7 N2 i6 ?6 [' v( ^She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.% ]( z# u; V  n6 x. O  a  r

9 H( c6 \8 ^0 \3 ]2 |I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is

对自己负责。对别人负责,对社会负责,请勿酒后驾车。因为这个小男孩有可能成为你家的孩子。
