2 V9 ?2 O7 z) e5 Q) oBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

Key Responsibilities Include
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
7 ]6 a- x8 T4 J1 N' ]& u2 i8 `•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
- l8 V' y* i- E' @; B•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
3 c9 K8 g! g2 |$ a; O•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

: B! ]" W3 \0 K( f9 O4 c( F# TThe successful candidate will have:
- T* ^8 W; Z; z- o) A8 l! d•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
" E0 J& B- R" a( ^( x•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
4 S( _% ^9 T7 Q+ r, A+ U$ I•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
0 ?8 s3 j0 k2 d. a: B•        A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
+ D- @- t# @# V3 ?+ C; o1 Y•        A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
