& e6 _# S% D. j) F, v0 H  vBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

Key Responsibilities Include
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
) `  C$ N( N5 s; j, b; L•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
0 u/ T& w5 Q$ L, A6 p  E/ B. ?( {* h6 W•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
9 N+ y* i& o% l; Q1 @) S•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
1 ^/ U! o0 b7 p% Z9 _. y7 @•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
( D& O3 U! r$ K- {$ z: {•        Experience with children
' T- s4 v$ z* x/ C1 R1 W, N7 i•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
3 k  d6 C( @9 e% ^' w0 V•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
/ H+ t7 V! e' ^. e( k2 C•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
% \! Z4 {6 d" o) q# T8 R' [•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
7 H  B1 r1 [# M4 H: j0 }•        A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
