Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff
(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

$ r! h6 y4 V' s$ X4 ?2 [" z& AKey Responsibilities Include:
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
4 F# q! S5 e" C. X1 T( C# r•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
1 F  O2 s. X2 P# G•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
8 ^+ u- M! A( p' |: L- s( R•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

* f5 L" i5 y6 B9 _" DThe successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
( _1 K' R6 Z. s7 R% z•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
1 a' i5 x6 e8 T8 \7 }" E•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
/ T( Z6 }) h( I•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
