8 H* T, ^6 Z( T6 c: lOn July 1, 2009, the Valley Zoo will be celebrating Canada Day and the Zoo’s 50th Birthday! Zoo-goers will have the opportunity to experience an incredible array of entertainment and special surprises to help mark this momentous occasion! 2 x- E5 V# C2 E& N% _/ a& {' R$ M6 V

Guests can visit the Canadian animals at the Zoo and watch them receive special enrichment treats. Canadian Children’s Entertainer of the Year “The Smudge Fundaes” will be performing throughout the day and will help us by singing “Oh Canada”. Get your taste buds ready for some of Canada’s largest birthday cake. This massive edible wonder is impressive to see but even better to taste! The little ones will love the massive inflatables, and then it’s off to the craft stops to construct a Canada Day Crown or a Clay Critter.
