The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.

• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors

• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries2 }" T6 E5 u% G4 x
• Arrange courier services for all departments( z1 O' l! J( N6 S* k
• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries
9 s$ S. |; C0 h• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency ; m6 }8 b% f# }3 q$ B2 U
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration H& a; x g* ?4 \6 x4 A8 p+ g
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers $ G" s _4 V) n% {: ^4 p; U
• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution
, U; v' m( H- Q% L7 b: i2 J• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments 7 L7 K, q/ z9 m/ Z- y7 y

• Assist YoWoChAs Outdoor Education Registration as required

• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures9 H3 r; M9 V) x! y" w
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
( I- d7 _7 s. z• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset* m f |' l/ A. \. s9 g
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
