The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.( S) P5 E% u! Reception

• Arrange courier services for all departments
- K: p2 x+ P3 c8 {• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail

• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency # V, X H2 ]' ~
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration- b6 @$ V- ?+ g9 @; i" H
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers ; k7 E' u9 Y Y `2 X
• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution
3 g- a h) V* \: V+ B- D8 u• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments * W% Q) D, S! t+ f1 I
• Assemble and forward information packets as requested

• Assist YoWoChAs Outdoor Education Registration as required! q n8 x1 _& ?3 ~ i; I

• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
$ ?. v& p+ \6 w8 U( D: l7 j: B• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.. `7 Q( x# v3 i. h! S) @. C
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset

• Mindful of need for accuracy, detail and discretion
