the best time to catch trout is when temp come back to 18 degree from lower, most people got better luck on the past weekend because we had quite amout of rain through last week. when cool temp coming back to normal, trout gets more active. The best time of the day is also depends on how you fish, daytime might be the best if you fish the bottom and you could have better luck in the late evening if you fish the top water.

thanks a lot! I think there are two ponds in V town, one is retangualr shape just south of hiway 16, and the other one is east of the point where hiway 16a merged into hiway 16, which one did you fish?

since the river is so low this year maybe worth to do some trout fishing...
