Integrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential
# e6 L8 c7 C) }) a4 E7 ~ Tskills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded1 o* @( M E; i" t9 O: _* ?3 p3 o
program combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work
: n& p# ^$ ?2 b0 c8 b- W; ~experience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as
; x! G6 B& I& W7 V+ `warehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food3 k t: O$ ^0 M
services and others.. c; r& m, e% X! I: \' k

Candidate Profile:

Candidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian
0 L) p$ l. I/ | O" G zcitizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:4 ~4 ]8 E, g- q0 n# }) _
* English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
# m: K' l6 x! a. L* Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-( T& h$ F7 [! b1 b
secondary education/ q- a$ X9 F2 J0 u W" s3 j, M' R* m( V
* A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand$ [8 m8 R: j7 Y c1 k% ?8 ~5 K
occupation5 W( c5 H1 I3 r7 J7 ^7 W; A" q
* Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed# N$ |3 [6 Y5 _1 L! S- n6 h
