All documents not in the English language must be accopanied by a printed English translation, signed and dated by the translator.
1 c. v4 T$ Y( l* P+ a7 T4 }Visa application does not guarantee visa eligibility. Each application will be considered on its own merits in accordance with U.S. law. There is no same day issuance of visas. While most visas are ready within two days following the interview, all eligible visa applicants must be prepared for processing to take from several workdays to several weeks or more before receiving their visas.

All U.S. Consulates in Canada require that visa fee payments be deposited to any branch of Scotia Bank in advance of the appointment. 1 r5 d" Q- C; \ b6 uApplicants wishing to have their passports and visas returned by mail must bring a pre-paid ExpressPost envelope with them to the interview. These envelopes are bought from Canada Post and are not available for purchase at the Embassy. The approximate cost is CDN $7. Passports are generally mailed the day after the interview and delivered within 5-7 days of the interview.

Passports Picked Up in Person ( ]2 p+ L1 |' w1 g( F$ {
Applicants may also choose to pick up their passports and visas in person. Many visas are available for pick up the next day. However, there is no guarantee the visa will be ready the next day as some cases require additional processing. Applicants who choose to pick up their passports in person will be given claim slips and instructed when to return to the front entrance of the embassy to collect their passports. % b1 I: B! H9 A7 G( v2 s! x

Discounted Xpresspost trackable mailers will be supplied in the Visa Section at the time of the interview; payment by a valid credit card is required. The price for next-day Regional service is $6.66 and the price for two-day National service is $10.08, plus applicable taxes and surcharges. ! Q5 J& W- h& D4 {2 CEach case is different, and only the interviewing officer can make the decision to issue or refuse a visa. There is no way to predict ahead of time your chances of receiving a visa.
