Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
! h1 D% [; ?1 D% U6 P· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
2 P @8 ~2 b( b" |· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist 9 k1 S2 O6 H( B& J4 E9 Y x5 n6 G
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
& g, H, J* K& ~1 P' ~0 @/ nadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
4 ~3 J3 n/ p9 ?, Q! V9 a" kset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. : Y: t- k6 b5 R8 P' k
· Attend and manage Special Events

) Y! \, D1 L! j. |Duties: Volunteer Coordination
7 E4 x- Y& O, Q7 n/ z& a F' bAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
- j2 F, p3 i$ [' q0 g· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
, n0 @7 s- @; H& K* `) Z T· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers " V. Z6 q7 I' S; J \
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
# D& W# i& {9 k; i4 e· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers ) E# C7 _2 J) h1 F6 j: P" S9 J
· Complete program administration, statistics and records

Qualifications: . Z/ v5 ^& H/ L! l: C
· Completion of 12th
' B+ `8 ?' k0 I+ Z/ ?( b Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
9 t! j6 W; p2 c/ `( kAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. / W4 D- l) C7 t
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct . G B3 T9 S, C6 ~% N' w
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
2 e6 i1 ^" F$ R· Experience working with and managing volunteers # Y5 F4 f2 G% T+ C: J- l
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
) ^( V4 E0 ~3 o· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events

Wages: $16 - $20/hour depending on qualifications
